I'm all on your side man, but maybe just a slight name change I have never been fond of the name dome dummies. Dome Dudes or Dome Dogs, hey they could market that fo sho with some hot dogs. anyway I think it is absolutely ridiculous that they wont let you wear the shirts even. That's crazy, unless there is profanity or alcohol on it some were. I would deffinately be at the next board meeting voicing my opinion, it would deffinately help to have some adults there to back you cause from what I'm hearing it doesn't sound like they care what yall think. It is a hot topic or there wouldn't be so many post about it. Man I started out school in Nederland up until the 3rd grade and then moved to lumberton....man I'm glad I moved before I got too attached or this would really break my heart. My condlences Nederland Fans sounds like school spirit is going away.

I can see yall didn't take my advice from earlier, I think its important for the ISD to act, but not over re-act as Dicky says he hasn't been convicted yet. But I can deffinately see where it's in their best intrest to look very hard at the evidence and scrutinize every aspect of the case, you know tie it up in court for a while, or at least until the playoffs are over.....blah blah blah. I could go on and on but Lazeek is correct it all depends on how good the player is to how much effort is put into scrutinizing the evidence and pushing it back some. I really do hope the best for this young man, he has his whole life ahead of him, If he only gets suspended for the last two District games all I can say is that I hope he learns from it and realizes how lucky he is. Todd is not like that any more...he will slow the game down as he did last night. The starters only played about three minutes of each quarter. They also worked on the inside game a lot. Trust me they could have scored more.

You have hit the nail on the head. I was voting for the bond but will not now. The only way to hold the administration truly accountable to the tax payer is to vote. This is, in the grand scheme of things, a minor issue but as you said it is the tip of the ice berg and the proverbial straw that broke the camels back. Not voting for a bond is costly to you as a tax payer and only hurting the kids the administration still gets paid, if you want to make a difference you need to ask to be on the agenda before the next board meeting at least a week a head of time, show up in force young and old and voice your opinion, there usually is a comment section at the end of each board meeting for public comments but there can be no official action on the item unless it's on the agenda. I support your fight now go take it to them.

I for one think it's crazy to not let them show school spirit. I hate that everytime I hear it. I know that the Hawk Hecklers have been asked and warned to tone there acts down as well, I think it's silly, but I do see both sides, I have also been there when parents chew on the Highschool administration for letting it go on, and then go as far as writing letters to the school board members claiming how disrespectful it is to have fans like that. I've seen it at other schools I know Silsbee had a similar problem with some kids with painted chest and they tried to ban them or something from the games, I have watched the Hawk Hecklers for the last 8 or 9 years and yes every now and then you had one or two guys go overboard and they were punished for it, but it seems like we are penny smart and pound foolish. If someone goes overboard then you punish them, not dismantel the whole group. I think it's good for the kids to feel like they are a part of the game. Again I think it is silly to stop kids from showing up and supporting their team when they could be out doing a lot worse. There should be some Parents held accountable for their actions but you never see that happening either.Please cut these kids some slack and let them bring their erase board and have some good clean fun. If they do bad things with it, then punish them but set the guidelines up first.But it's probably just easier to stop the whole thing.
