Some things are more important than football, I was glad to see them suite up and try to get back to normal, I thought that BC played with class, and they have my respect, personally I cant explain in words how bad the damage is down there, I have seen it first hand and my heart and respect goes out to everyone who lives there. I know the outcome was not what BC wanted, but there is no way they would be right where they were before IKE. I know BC wasn't the only city hit but it is the worst I have seen in our District so far. I applaud the coaches, players, and staff at the highschool.

They really impressed me at the newton game. I think they will turn some heads this year.

But not enough. and I'm from HJ saying that. I am hearing ya, Lazeek. We'll take what we can get. It's Poppabear, but we do need to convert Lazeek to an Aggie fan. That blue and orange depresses me.

I would love to see it grow but bigger is not always better. I love it, we just need a few more things, before we can become the thriving metropolis, like Silsbee and Jasper. Jasper is Huge compared to HJ and Silsbee is pretty big as well as far as the town goes, but HJ has a huge district just not much of a town. China, Nome, Sour Lake, and many communities.

Silsbee is good in football and basketball!!!!! Ozen is good in football and basketball!!!!! WOS is good in football and basketball!!!!! EC is good in football and basketball!!!! HJ has two sports that they are great at as well. It's just a difference of schools of how much effort they put into their sports. HJ is fantastic at basketball and baseball. Dominate the court and wreck on the baseball field. The football field is a different story however. Football isn't all about winning. Its about character and determination. Even if they do lose, 8 straight now coming from last season, atleast HJ has the heart to have three levels of football (freshmen, JV, and Varsity) and come week in and week out playing. Just gotta get that offense rolling some, and with the strong defense they have, I think they could be a change. They started showing it in the second half of Woodville. Maybe I missed something is no one supporting the football program.

Not sure but the freshman game was a close one as well 14 to 12 Vidor on top.

The officiating was horrible, no doubt, but, who knows if it changed the outcome of the game, neverless we didn't get it done, and we had more than one opportunity to do it. Lazeek your still my buddy and always will be. I picked HJ to win as well. I was at the game and that was one hell of a kick Stuart made. We just couldn't get anything going plus we dont want to show our secret plays yet District hasn't started. Once it does watch out. We will be OK they will keep getting better we are just undersized on the line offense and defensive line. The defense did play good despite the 14 on the score board, we gave them a short feild twice( once from the ten and once from the twenty) and they capitolized.

Two years ago HJ took them to the woodshed. Last year the only reason why it was close was the feild, it was horrible everyone was standing in ankle deep water on the sidelines, we couldn't use our speed. I think I have my years correct on that not sure. Both clubs have improved, but HJ wins this one by a 3 TD margin.

WOS playbook just simply say's win. Big NED will have a tough time with WOS.

They just might suprise some teams this year they have been working hard. Never count out the Hawks.

yes I do, it makes it a lot easier if you know the kids, you want to see them compete and succeed. It frustrating when they don't but thats part of competing there are always winners and loosers. It's just a lot funner when they are winning.

I have seen some of it on the news and some of it on different threads, so lets talk about it. My personal opinion is that the indian nation shouldn't be upset I looked at it as they were honoring your heritage. Please shed some light on it for me, is it trademarked or something.

Stadium looks great, I sure hope the association of pirates don't get there feelings hurt or Vidor and maybe Lumberton could be in for a name change. I ALWAYS thought of the mascot names to be used to honor the heritage of our past. Not belittle them. but I guess anything is possible now a days. stadium is looking good though.

WOW, ;D I love all the hometown pride on this site. I'm sure it will be a great year for Silsbee and HJ again. I sure hope we both make it to the regionals again.

I smell some vacation time soon...I miss basketball season, I will deffinately be there. Let me know what other info you can come up with, this should be fun.

can someone tell me when and where the summer league is playing I would love to support my team but I have no idea when or where they play. GO HJ

who can get me a summer league schedule I would support it but I dont know where or when these games are played. Please somebody help me.
