Nice post east texas bb..............but I dont think that anyone said that the HJ or the HF kids were potential NBA players.  They were just stating that they are very good freshman players and/or junior high players.  I agree that some people get over zealous and start labeling kids the next super star, but I think it is more off a very good for being 13 and 14 years old. But I do like your post!!!

Heard PL Calhoun was very patient and and a very, very sound team.....two really good players!!! Also was told that Grayson will NOT play this weekend as he is still nursing his high ankle sprain.

HJ beats 4A Port Lavaca Calhoun 43-41 in the first game of the tournament.

But I saw it after the first game and after the 6th game last night.......I have an idea for hoops BigRed you know that!!!!

Oh no Dove........I will only be using the tickets for other sessions.  The 3A sessions I will be at the scorer's table broadcasting the Hawks as they win their 4th State Title!!!! ;) ;)

I am looking to buy two tickets to the 2011 Boys State Basketball Tourney.  I need two tickets and I am looking for anything in the lower level. He has scored in double figures in all four of the Hawks game and hit 8 three's against Anahuac last night!!!!  He is not a star yet, but you can see it in him.  He is raw still, but has the tools to be successful.  He is long and lanky!!!  He is 6'2 and can tell he will be a few inches taller just by looking at his frame.

Glad to see LU compete.........still lost by 20, but that is a good showing for LU and gives us koolaid drinkers a reason to keep drinking it for the time being!!!!

This is the announcer that calls all the SLC conference games that are on the Fox Sports Networks.  Seen him each and every year that LU has had a game broadcasted.  He knows the league, but yet he seems to be hyping LU a bit much!!!

Nederland, Ozen, Central, LCM and the rest of 20-4a might have something to say about that and I am an HJ guy!!!

Announcer just said and I quote......."I have broadcasted several LU games in the past 5 years and I am impressed with Lamar and this is the best team that Steve Roccaforte has ever had" No pressure now for the Cards and Roc to perform!!!! ;D ;D ;D
