Nope not at all AAW!!!!! Honestly believe that..........I really thought that Silsbee would not be as good this year because they lost all of their outside shooting and the bigs have never impressed me............well they have found some shooters and the bigs are playing great from what I have heard and seen.  This is Silsbee's year.......if they don't get it this year then the drought for the Tigers will continue for many more years!!!

Silsbee wins with ease........79-60.  Silsbee is the cream of the crop of SE Texas this year and will run away with this game, besides I will always root for a 21-3A team as long as they are not playing the Hawks!!!!

BH and HJ were scheduled to play the final game on Saturday but they moved some things around on Friday after Odem and CC Calallen did not come on Friday.

HJ wins AP Tournament with a 5-0 record after defeating CC Calallen this morning 71-49!!!  They beat three 4A schools (Barbers Hill, Rockport Fulton, CC Calallen), 3A Aransas Pass and 2A Odem.  Only Barbers Hill gave them a game.  Jacoby Turner MVP and Phillip Ricossa All Tournament.  Great job Jacoby and Phillip and to the rest of the Hawks!!

[/quote] They have been a pretty good team now for the last 10 or so years.  Had one of the best players in SE Texas two years ago in Brooks Ybarra.  He went to LU and has since transferred I believe to Texas State.  BH even had an ex-HJ player as their coach for a few years in Trey Watts!!  That was when the big turnaround started.

BH led by 18 at one point.........I would not call that holding their own!!!

Blame it on the refs??? ::) ::) ::)  Sounds like to me your team was hot shooting early on and HJ was cold (18 point lead) and then the rolls changed and the lead changed!!!  Never under estimate the hearts of champions!!!

CC Calallen was told by the school's admin that they could not travel today for their games at Aransas Pass.  Therefore HJ will have a substitute opponent for it's 1:30 game.  Not sure of the team at this point.  This is VERY DISAPPOINTING as this was suppose to be the best team in the tournament.  I am sure that the replacemnt team will not be near as good of competition.
