Several streaks will come to an end tonight with Tiger missing the cut. 38 events in a row..............15 top 10's in a row in stroke play events..........etc. Anxious to hear from the TW faithful who claim that he has passed Jack as the "Greatest of All Time"!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Hawks I understand your point, but on the other hand I have read and heard nothing about this "phenom" going to a big time school. I hope he does, but after all that I have read and heard I will believe nothing until I see him on a roster or in a game. The kid is likely the best player to graduate and come out of SE Texas with the exception of Perkins, and everyone expects him to do big things, but have heard nothing but negatives about the kid upon graduation. I really am hopeful that things work out for him because he is good and would be nice to hear about a local player excelling. Until then it is a major failure on his part, his coaches part and everyone involved that he is not using his talent somewhere!!!!!!

Come on AAW you know that some small 3A hick school cannot compete with a National Power such as Lutheran North. If they want real competition then play Ozen or Memorial............they are the only worthy schools in SE Texas!!!!! : :

No you know AAW that JD is a huge fan of the Open Championship. He may be there late in the round on Sunday as well.

The tourney is this weekend at the Beaumont Country Club. The tourney consists of two man teams playing best ball format. The tourney is full with 148 players (74 Teams). There are 24 teams in the Championship Flight!!!! Best of luck to all teams playing. I will try to update as the weekend goes on the results.

Course seems to be playing extremely easy for a Open Championship. Anxious to see how the weather affects the afternoon players and early players tomorrow.

Oh..............so lets see??? Tiger had the conditions and did not execute!!! Now in the US Open others had the conditions and they did execute!!!!!!! This tells me that even in ideal or poor conditions you still have to execute and play well to win!!!!!!!! Tiger is far from out of this tourney and in fact I still think that he will be there on Sunday!!!!!! I just wonder what the excuse will be if he does not win playing in the better conditions on Thurs-Friday!!! ;D ;D

The tourney is off and running at Turnberry!!!!! A "veteran" Tom Watson leads with a 5 under 65. Tiger shot a 1 over 71 today. It is funny how things change...................Tiger had the bad draw at the US Open and looks to be having the good draw at the Open because rain is expected this afternoon and tomorrow morning. He had no weather issues today and should not experience any tomorrow.

This is the course that I played my last round of golf on. My uncle is sponsored by The Cascades and I get to play it whenever. It is a "old school" course that has gone through many changes including a name change. Very good course and not easy, but not too difficult either.
