May 22nd huh??? I just made a call to my "inside" source and hear that the job has been offered and that the coach has until 4pm Friday to accept it. Oh my there will be some happy folks and some very unhappy as well!!!!!!

Last year at TC the coaches voted in Shetland and the coach that finished the season in 3rd place was the All-Star coach. I was just wondering how everyone else does it. I know that each league is different in many aspectsa and this just happens to be another one.

How does the other teams in this area either PONY or Little League determine the All Star coaching??? Twin County does it seperately for different age groups. For example this year.....Shetland is for the team with the best record during the regular season. Pinto is whoever wins the end of the season tournament. Last year in Shetland it was voted upon with the 3rd place coach gaining the All Star team. Just curious? ;D ;D

It was only a matter of time............Lakers are the better team and they will end it tomorrow in Houston. My gut (which is a large one) tells me that the Nuggets will beat the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals though.

TC has a large area to choose from but not alot of kids play. TC gets kids from Sour Lake, China, Nome and other small communities. I think that the number of kids this year is around 280. Obviously the more you have the more options you have. I feel TC does a great job with the kids that it has, but how can TC get more kids to play that are not playing now???

No doubt a great tourney.........I wish that SE Texas would get another great Four Ball tournament going like the Neches River Four Ball at Beaumont CC. Idylwild back in the day had a great tournament in the Idylwild Invitational. SE Texas needs more individual and 2 man tournaments.

I saw some really good talent in Port Arthur this past weekend. I feel that the real difference is the amount of kids that each community has to chose from and the fact that some leagues keep players together!!!! Vidor and Orange keep their kids together. I am not sure about Groves and PA, but I know that TC starts from scratch each year. This is a hude disadvantage for the TC players and teams. With that being said how does everyone feel that All Stars will fair. I feel after seeing games this weekend that this is how I would rank them. Vidor is the best by far.............as far as Orange, TC and Port Arthur I feel any of those three could beat each other. Jefferson County is down this year. What is the deal over there to only have one team in the Director's tourney and only two teams in the entire league.

I shot -3 68 on a real golf course (The Cascade's in Tyler) in my last round of golf on September 11th (yes I said September 11th......243 days ago!!!!).............trying to go out on a solid round of golf!!!!! ;D ;D ;D Honestly I have always wanted to play in this tournament, but I have always had a conflict with either going on vacation or another committment..........maybe in 2010!!!! ;D ;D ;D

He missed the last month of the season or so............he is one of the best when healthy!!!!!!
