Easy MFFL...........you know that I am a Deane fan and he is a personal friend of mine. Based on performance the only difference between Tubbs, Roc and Deane is the fact that Deane's players graduated, went to class, were not arrested for drug's, did not run from police, not arrested for gun possession, etc. Should I go on. How can a undersized, no experience and non-battle tested team be picked ahead of a team that was in the Regional tournament the last two years in 4A and now they are 3A and making their first trip to Austin?? ;D ;D ;D

I think that this stat speaks volume for the quality and strength of basketball in SE Texas and for it's local 3A district. It all started in 2006 when the WOS Mustangs earned the berth at the State Championship after defeating Coldspring in the Regional Final. WOS went on to lose in the State Semi-Final that year. Then in 2007 the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks defeated Silsbee in the Regional Final, defeated Tyler Chapel Hill and then Abilene Wylie to win the school's 3rd State Championship. In 2008 the Silsbee Tigers returned the favor and beat HJ in the Regional Final and then lost to eventual State Champ Kennedale in the State Semi-Final. And finally this season 2009 the HJ Hawks won the Regional tournament over fellow SE Texas team and former 21-3A district foe Jasper. Just goes to show you how great we have it in SE Texas when it comes to 3A Hoops. Best of luck to the Hawks in Austin this weekend and let's make it 5 in a row in 2010!!!!!

You guys are missing the point. I am having fun with AAW. He knows that all year I thought that Silsbee was the better team......I would even if asked by the right person say that I still thought that Silsbee had the better players from top to bottom......and maybe even the better team. I also will tell you that I would as I have said all year that Jarvis Benard is the best player in the district. NO ONE IS ARGUING!!!!! Just having fun. Relax Bullets and Voice!!!! It is all in fun. There is nothing on TV so I have to do something!!!! :D :D

Actually I said to you on many occasions that I thought that Silsbee was the better team all year........but it is HJ going to state for a 7th time!!!! ********BTW....someone stated a few weeks ago or maybe even a month ago that since Silsbee dropped from 4A to 3A that they were tied with HJ for Regional Championships at 1.......NOT ANY MORE!!!! Also they said that Silsbee was the one that had been to the Regional Final 3 years in a row.......NOT ANY MORE!!!! Now HJ has been to state twice in the last three years. All of this while Silsbee was in 3A....huh, go figure!!!! 8) 8) 8) 8)
