BISD the best district in the area????? You make me laugh!!!! It is likely last in all areas with the exception of PAISD. I would never let my kids go to school at BISD for academic reasons!!!!!!

What a complete joke!!!!! Taken care of a player because of his role on the court. Must be nice. I wish I would have had been catered to when I was in school like this!!!!! What is next? Some player shoots some one and gets suspended for 4 games. Great job of teaching the kids in today's society that you will only receive a slap on the wrist for having possession of illegal drugs. Starts at the top and dwindles all the way down to the little people!!!!!

HJ needs to worry about WOS on Friday before thinking about Silsbee next week. Either that or they might flip a coin. It would only be for seeding. They would share 1st place. However if HJ did win I feel that both would want to play for seeding. The 1st place team in the district has a much easier path than the 2nd.

Spinks you can't compare it to going to college or a job, because most pot heads will have neither of those!!!

I do not want him to get death in this scenario but to be suspended for the final two district games is a joke!!!! If this was a average player then he would be gone for the season, but it is a super star and he gets a slap on the wrist. Just typical BS stuff of a star getting out of something that most would be severely penalized for.

Like I said earlier....basically no penalty given out for the sport that he is playing now.........PATHETIC!!!!! How does not allowing him to play baseball penalize him for what he did wrong while playing basketball? Typical BS that takes place in BISD. I live in Beaumont and will NEVER send my kids to school for reasons just like this as well as other reasons. Highest paid Sup in the state and he is a joke also!!!!!

Just the opposite.........I am tired of seeing people get away with stuff because of who they are or waht they are.

Mark my words...........NOTHING will be done until basketball season is over or at least Ozen is out of the playoffs. If this happens it is a reflection on BISD and how they do things.

To say that every team has pot smokers is irrelevant.........this kid got caught!!!! He should be kicked off the team....PERIOD!!!!!! If the school does not do what is right, then the district may interject or the UIL. If the UIL gets involved then who knows what will happen? If the school does nothing than there is a serious problem!!!

They may have by UIL rule won games with a player that should have been suspended or removed from the team. This has yet to be seen!!

Are you supplying it for them? How can you assume that a HJ player has done this?

Better to play by the rules and not get in then to cheat or do something illegal and get in!!!!!
