Well guys it is finally here!!!!!! All of Hardin County has waited almost 11 months for this rivalry to once again take place on the hardwood. This will be a matchup of two of the 4 most elite programs in SE Texas!!!! Silsbee comes in with a record of 17-6 and 4-0 in District 21-3A. Hardin-Jefferson comes in with a record of 27-4 and 4-0 in District 21-3A. These two teams will meet on the court for the first time since Silsbee punched their ticket to the 3A State Championships last March in Huntsville by defeating HJ and ending the Hawks season and quest for back to back State Championships. Both teams have been impressive at times this season and both have not. Will Silsbee lighting up the scoreboard and HJ relying on their great defensive to win many games this should be a instant classic. The Hawks come in as a 4 point favorite based on HoopinsiderCoop's recent lines. What is everyone's predictions for the Hardin County Battle on Friday in Sour Lake?

UNC has been favored and lost before as well. That VC team was very good also. Duke is a better team than they were 2 years ago also.

Not this team.......They may not win the ACC tourney because it has WF, UNC, etc. but I can assure you a deep run in the NCAA tournament. I am a Florida fan, but I have always preferred Duke to UNC and I expect them to be playing in the Final Four.

Based on the fact that Silsbee beat HF by 78 and the fact that HJ beat HF by 36, I would expect Silsbee to be favored on Friday night by 42!!!!!!! : : : :

Thanks for the compliments. HJ is the better team and that is no doubt. Jarvis #3 is a great player and he just always seems to find ways. However I believe that HJ only had 1 player in double figures, but had 4 players that had 6-8 for the scoring for HJ. Other than JB getting 30 the team played OK last night. Still not shooting the ball very well. Better start finding more shots starting Friday night or HJ will suffer their first district loss of the season.

I agree........after seeing WOS in person last night for the first time I would have to say that WOS has the 3rd spot wrapped up. They should beat OF pretty easily. However I would not put it past OF to pull the upset and that is what it would be.........a UPSET if they beat WOS!!!!
