I agree 110%!!!!!! I am tired of kids getting a free ride and then taking it for granted. If they come and leave early then make them pay it back.....they are getting a pro contract and can afford it.

HJ has played Newton twice and San Augustine once. I would say that Newton is by far the district favorite!!!! HJ beat Newton by 6 the first game and by 30 the 2nd time and Newton was without the starting PG the 2nd game. Newton beats SA easily in Newton and in a close one in SA.

Nope do not play!!!!!! I have not played hoops since junior high, which was like 22 years ago!!!!! And yes Trey, Jarvis and Jacoby do not talk, they let their game do the talking.

Just going on what I have heard........something like a couple of hundred people a game!!!!! That won't cut it especially with the team that they are putting on the floor and being the #1 ranked team in their league.

Not a bad list, Lazeek, although i think you left out a few teams. Center should definitely be on there because they are the favorite to win 18-3A and have a 6-7 post that is going to SFA. Crockett should be mentioned also, they took Silsbee to 2OT last year, they've beaten 5A Lufkin this year, and they have most of their players back. Coach Bartlett has done a great job at Huntington to have them in the conversation, but i wouldnt put them up there ahead either of the teams i just mentioned, or teams like Mexia or Bullard. I saw that Center was undefeated in district and have not heard about the others you mentioned. What about the Waco 3A schools? How are they doing? It seems that HJ is always playing Connally or LaVega!!!

81-36 and I saw 3-4 kids play that are JV players or have been moved up for district. I did not even know 2 of their names!!!!! Milburn has a PG that is pretty good. He should be playing for someone in Beaumont other than Milburn.

HJ has not played Evadale on ANY level in many years.

Speaking of the "big kid", word is he hasn't been playing much, some on and off the court problems. Which one was Pratt??? Pratt played the 3 position. He is the star runningback and linebacker for their football team. '6"3 222lbs. I gotcha!!!!!!!!! If I remember right he is pretty solid.

I disagree.......Silsbee has proven over the last 4 years that they have had a great team and have proven that they can win a big game. Silsbee may not have state wide respect, but they have the respect of teams in their district and in the region!!! I think that Region 3 this year will be the toughest that it has been in a long time. There are a ton of really good teams in the region this season. I would not be surprised to see some big name teams not even make it to Regionals this season. To earn a berth in the State Tourney this season in Region 3 will be EARNED!!!!!!!! I think that the State Final will be Dallas Madison and the rep from Region 3 if they do not meet in the State Semis.

No they have a 6'7 300 lb post and a very good PG. :D
