Saw a few Silsbee players and parents in the stands last night. First quarter and 4th quarter were very similar. Total domination by the Hawks. Second and 3rd it seems as if the Hawks just kinda relaxed and took it easy. We do not want to show too much to you Tiger fans when you come to scout us!!!! ;D ;D :D ;)

Hawks played pretty well last night. I am hoping that the injury to Phillip is not serious. He is very important to the team. I thought that Jacoby had his best game of his life tonight. He was every where, stealing the ball, finishing, blocking shots, hitting shots and creating for others. If this type of play continues then I feel the Hawks can make a deep run in the playoffs. Trey seemed to have a bounce back in his step as well. And Jarvis was just being, well you know Jarvis!!!!! Great win for the Hawks now it is time for district!!!!!! Let's go get another District Championship!!!!!

You don't have to mention scores. Saying you know where a team stands based on the outcome of a game versus a common opponent is silly. And even if it isn't a common opponent you would then be basing it on the fact that they are 5A? A's don't mean a ton either. That doesn't say anything about where a team stands. Games, especially in high school, are about match-ups.

still comparing scores to see where someone stands doesn't work. HJ beat Huntington by 30+ Hudson beat HJ in OT Huntington beat Hudson by 18 MATCHUPS!

HJ beat them in the EC tourney by 6 last week. HJ 80 Newton 68 Very athletic and quick. Similar to Silsbee but not as good or as deep!!!!

So, with that logic, Harvard is better than North Carolina, correct? Since Boston College beat North Carolina and then Harvard beat Boston College?? It is ALL about match-ups and consistency, nothing else.

Didn't St. Pius, who hadn't won a district game in over 2 years, win the TAPPS state championship a couple of years ago? How can you not win a district game and still even get in the playoffs to win a state championship?

If the argument a few months ago in a draw between Boutte and Sutherland then since Boutte is not a coach anymore then Sutherland should win by default!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D However I firmly believe that Sutherland is the best coach in the area and he has done more with less!!!!
