Not necessarily. HJ had a BYE in the first round last year for being the #1 seed. Also there was a realignment this year and that was my reason for asking. What has changed if any?

I know that for most that district has not even started, but has the bracket been set up for where the playoff teams will be seeded. In other words who would district 21-3A play in the first round? What district?

Not sure how the playoff bracket will line up but I would like to see HJ get another shot at Hudson in the playoffs.

It was a great game. Hudson played with intensity the entire night and HJ did not. Does anyone know why Hudson only had 7 players and if they were missing any key players? If that is their entire team then they are matched pretty evenly with HJ, therefore saying that the "WANT" was more on Hudson's side than on HJ's side last night. #23 is a stud!!! I also heard that #10 is only a sophomore.

Great win Silsbee and about what I expected.

Good Job Hudson. You guys came in short handed with only 7 players and wanted it more than the HJ kids tonight. HJ struggled for the most part of the night again and managed to get it to OT after trailing by 7 going into the 4th quarter. Hopefully Santa will bring HJ some thing special for Christmas and things will change after the new year. Hudson is pretty good. #23 and #10 played really well and #20 kept Jarvis in check for the most part. Jarvis still had a pretty good night, but was really taken out of his game plan. Too man mistakes for the Hawks tonight down the stretch and in OT. The only question I have for Hudson is why the reaction at the end of the game? They reacted as if the won the state tournament. If you think that beating HJ will put you in the elite in the state or in SE or East Texas then you will be heart broken in the playoffs. Best of luck though in district and the playoffs.

BOUTTE CAME FROM KOUNTZE HUN. HOW COME A LOT OFF IA TEAMS BEAT 4A SCHOOL THEN. He went from Kountze to Lincoln and then to Ozen.

Big difference in 1A and 4A. Hey I know the guy can coach, but BISD will want someone proven in a bigger school IMO. This is why I feel that Williams will get it over Joubert. I think that DJ is a better coach, but being in 2A will hurt him.

I am not sure. I would have to say PAISD only because hires that they have made in the past have not been very good until last night. Maybe Boutte will be the difference.

IMO BISD has 3 options: 1. Hire someone outside of the area. 2. Hire Travis Williams 3. Hire Duane Joubert These are in no particular order!!!!

LK may be a great coach, but Ozen will not take a 1A coach. JMO!!!!!

It really all depends on when Boutte leaves for PA. If he finishes the season at Ozen then I would almost guarantee that Travis or Duane will be the next Ozen coach. My guess would be Travis. If he leaves now and the interim were to win the State Championship then how could you not give it to the interim?

When they hire a new hoops coach, I predict unless they go outside of SE Texas they will hire one of two people. Either Travis Williams of Silsbee or Duane Joubert of Kountze. I really believe that one of these two will be the next Panther coach.

go back to last year the beginning of the year it all sounds the same just reversed..HJ will get it's props(if it happens)....but you certainly don't expect Silsbee to concede at least till after Christmas..lol Props were given to Silsbee last year.........although none were received the season prior as HJ brought home the gold.
