I think that if Bob Knight was still the coach LU would have a chance of selling it out. I am hoping for at least 7500 for this game as it stands now.

There have been 3 guys sitting on the end of the bench in team warmups. Lawrence Nwevo--Injured and should return in a few weeks. Justin Nabors--Injured and Redshirting this year. Justin Carter--Transfer and unsure if he is red-shirting this season or having to sit out for grades or transfer rules?

HECK yah bud...see what people dont understand is basketball teams lose games...I know its weird...NEDERLAND will lose a game this year...and of course all of us know orangefield will lose PLENTY of games... This thread is about the HECKLERS...and for our first game this year i thought we did alright...its hard coordinating that many underclassmen...I mean we showd up and did our job (need some work but we'll be alright), even had a nice tailgate party outside with music, we brought our BBQ pits and cooked some food, drinks, had washer boards,even had two fires to sit around in the parkin lot ( yeah ...FIRES IN THE PARKIN LOT), there was even a little 2-steppin goin on...so pretty much in the high school basketball support game the HECKLERS DOMINATED friday night...and showd why they are the best fans in the state... as for our beloved hawks we need to work on some things like REBOUNDING, FREETHROWS, and 3's...and then its smooth sailin right back to AUSTIN where we belong...........yeah so we pretty much rule life and once our lion gets here we'll be even more dominant 8) everybody knows that basketball teams loose games... thats kind of the point there is a winner and a loser duh... this thread is about fans who cares about the fans its about the people on the court not the ones who arent.... and the only reason people make fun of yalls precious HECKLERS is because of all the trash yall talk... its great to see yall eat words What do you want the Hawk Hecklers to say?? Oh we are playing Nederland tonight and I think that we will lose. Of course whether you are the better team or not you always think that your team is going to win. I just love to see the few times a basketball season that people get to take advantage of HJ and their fans and rub it in our face when we lose. Does not happen to often so take advantage of it while you can, just remember what comes around goes around!!!!!!!

who got dominated? HJ looked like a JV team Friday night......who has the better guard? Ned's guard dropped 41 on HJ Wow!!!! One big game for the Bulldog guard and now he is "The Chosen One"!!!! I would take Benard over #13 from Nederland every single day and so would everyone else!!!! I will say it again.....great win Nederland as that night they were the better team and wanted it more.

I think that the HJ coaching staff is more than capable of making the adjustments that are needed!!!!

Bobcat5 let me be the first to say that MOST HJ fans do have respect for OF. OF has a great team and a great coach that made the playoffs last year and gave both HJ and Silsbee fits last year. Don't let Commander bother you too much with his mouth running as he is just a Heckler!!!

Never been to a LU Volleyball game but I have seen some quality Big 12 (A&M vs. Nebraska two years ago) and some Big East (Notre Dame vs. Syracuse) three weeks ago in South Bend. Congrats on another SLC Championship for the Cardinals!!!! Gotta love those shorts the gals wear!!!! :o :o

Most predicted a HJ win and the Hawks did not have their best game and got beat. It happens!!!!! That is why they play the games!!!! HJ will win some this year and they will lose some. Bottom line is that a few times a year other teams will beat HJ and get to talk trash about beating HJ, but when the dust settles all of the haters and their teams will be sitting at home when teams like HJ and Silsbee are pursuing a state title!!!! Must have been a mixup on the Lion schedule. I was told from a reliable source that the game is on Tuesday at Hawk Gym.

Both teams should be at full strength now that football is over for these two teams. HJ did win a scrimmage at Kountze a few weeks ago but that was without players on both teams due to football. HJ lost at home last night to Nederland and should be looking to get back on pace Tuesday. Who wins this one?

BTW Referee Bob Thewman got a little banged up tonight. About midway through the 4th he ran into one of the Nederland players and both went to the floor. The game was stopped while Bob was attended to. He went back into the locker room and came out with a large bandage on his chin. He should be OK!!!!

Coach English was very well prepared tonight. He had a great game plan against HJ. They did everything they could to take Jarvis out of the game. They picked him up at half court almost all night. This is the first HJ game that I have ever been to that the Hawks did not hit a 3!!!!!!! Unless they hit one with less than 2 minutes left in the game when i departed. Outside of Benard, Burrell and Turner HJ had no offense to think of!!! HJ missed FT, layups, could not rebound and Nederland did all of them very well. HJ was exposed tonight!!!!!! Great win Nederland and best of luck in district. HJ hopefully this was just a bad night for you guys, but there will be some big games in the next few weeks that will let you know where you are for the district run!!!! :-\ :-\

They may be rich, but definatly not white!!!!! ;D ;D ;D People hate on Duke because they are one of the best programs ever and they select great students as well as athletes. They do not recruit the thugs that alot of other programs recruit.
