Navasota coaches were also at the Silsbee-HJ game. They likely saw a little more in the game. As a district foe of Silsbee I will be pulling for the Tigers in this one. I hope they win it all as that would mean that they would not have their basketball players for several more weeks!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Jarvis was 3 of 13 from the 3 point line. That IS struggling, especially for him.

TopDawg may disagree with you on Jarvis being the best player on the floor. He is a big Kountze fan and he feels that Roman Walker is superior to everyone else in SE Texas.

What about Clint "Pinky" Walters from HJ. He led HJ to their deepest playoff run in school history taking them to the State Quarters in 1998!!! He was about 6'1 and 230lbs back then!!! He was a monster and you could not bring him down!!!

WOS and Silsbee have tons of athletes and quickness on both sides of the ball. By far the most that HJ has seen all year!!!! Not taking anything away from Cleveland but WOS and Silsbee are very deep with athletes on both sides.

HJ will have everyone back on Monday as well and travels to Huntington on Tuesday. It does not matter how good a team HJ has or does not have they will have their hands full in Huntington on Tuesday. Wish I could go!!!

Hawks win 89-74 in Kountze!!! The scrimmage was a real game atmosphere. 4 Quarters of 8 minutes. Both teams were without players though. I am not sure who Kountze was without but HJ was without 3 starters and a total of 5 varsity players and I also find it hard to believe that Kountze was missing as much as HJ was. Heard that Benard had a ton tonight and that Coach Sutherlands son had 5 long balls!!!! Also heard that Roman Walker is a beast!!!!

Should help in recruiting to say that you will play at Kyle Field in 2012!!!!!!! I read the posts on the link above and it seems that everyone is shocked that LU will have that good of a schedule for their first year back after 21 years. Should be exciting times in the near future!!!!
