1. Hope Chester improved on their 12.5 pt average last week!!! :o :o
 2. Holmes IMO is the best player on the Tigers team.  And that is from a HJ fan!!!
 3.
Lazeek you did a nice job last night. Keep up the nice work.
Thanks Santa.  Hoping for one more broadcast this year with AAW!!!
 4.
just asking are there suppose to be a kid from each school on this list?
No, this is one man's opinion (AAW) of who the best 25 players are in SE Texas.  He is likely the only person to see almost every team in SE Texas play.
 5. I notice two things that might need to be considered on the rankings.  And I have not seen a tenth of the teams that AAW has seen.  But there is no reason for Devante' Johnson (HJ) not to be in the Top 15, and in my humble opinion Chris Elam (Silsbee) has to be in the Top 6-7!!!  Elam kept Silsbee in the game last night, and Johnson was the difference for HJ last night in getting the win.
 6. Hardin-Jefferson and Silsbee went head to head last night in front of a standing room only crowd in Sour Lake.  Silsbee won the first game in Silsbee 59-56, and HJ got revenge last night protecting it's home court advantage 79-74.  The game will be re-broadcast tonight at 7:00pm.  Click on the link below to listen to the call with Rob Lietzke and Mike Sanchez!!! 7. If Silsbee and HJ finished tied and for whatever reason decide not to play each other, I would love to see Silsbee vs Nederland and HJ vs Ozen/Memorial
 8. SOLID!!!!!!  Been following Coach Woodard's Facebook post all morning.  Looks to be a GREAT class with some really talented players.  Looking forward to football season!!!
 9. Think this was already posted on another thread. ;) ;)
 10. HJ played 9 and Silsbee played 10. HJ had one with 5 fouls, two with 4 and three with 3. Silsbee had 4 with 5 fouls, one with 4. No other players from either team had more than one foul. IMO, Silsbee in playing 10 kids really had the majority of the minutes played by 7 of them, and HJ in playing 9 kids had the majority of the minutes played by 8 of them. When you really only play 7 players in a game where there were 52 fouls called, you will have many players foul out.
 11. If both coaches agree I would love to see the game at Ford Park.
 12.
why do you say that?
Either or both could lose one of their 4 remaining games.
 13.
and I'm pretty sure after HJ lost the first time you still felt like HJ was the better team
I thought that this year was gonna be a year that HJ beat Silsbee both times.  I was wrong.  Silsbee and HJ are both very good this year, and as evenly matched as they have been in a long time. But, I still felt that HJ was the better team after Silsbee beat them.  Even after HJ won last night I feel that HJ is better, but both teams are very close!!!

And I already picked Ned to win at the talk show the other night!!! ;) ;)
Lazeek have been a darn Nederland Homer all year.  ::) ::)  ;) ;)
What can I say.  I have gotten to be friends with some people from Nederland, and I love the way English does his thing!!!!  Very similar to that of Sutherland.  Don't always have the most talent on the floor, but always seem to find a way to win!!! ;) ;) If it is any consolation Soulja, I will be pulling for the Jags in every game except when they play the Dawgs!!! ;) ;)
 15. Good article. I have mixed emotions about it.  Here are my pro's and con's: Pro's: 1.  Everyone that wants to get in to see the game will be able to. 2.  Won't have to get there before 4:49 to see the game that starts after 8:00pm Con's: 1.  Home Court Advantage 2.  Atmosphere 3.  Revenue from gate 4.  Revenue from concessions

 17. Very well said DV. I thought about it at home last night, and the difference to me in addition to HJ clutch FT and Silsbee poor 3 point percentage was exactly as you just put it.  HJ started attacking the glass, and Silsbee kept settling for the long ball. Great game, great atmosphere.  Gotta love it!!!
 18. I would also feel that being in foul trouble a good part of the game would attribute to that look as well.
 19. Too close to call at this point!!! ;D ;D
 20.
wow just went back and looked at The Tigers did a great job on the boards tonight only getting outrebounded by 2 by a much larger team.  The glaring difference in the stats was the 3's everything else was pretty even.
I would venture to say that Elam had at least 12-14 Rebounds last night.
 21.
And if any of those listed teams aren't upset by anyone not listed both HJ and Silsbee will have to face two of those listed just to get to Huntsville. 1st place would play Navasota in third round and second would face Coldspring.
No easy games in the playoffs this year!!!
