The player in question is the 9th (sorry I was even wrong when I posted earleir by saying 6th or 7th best player) best player. When he performed it was in the latter parts of games agains inferior opponets. He would not have handled the pressure better than any of the players mentioned above. He is fortunate to even be able to play this year after not playing last year. The coaching staff did him a favor. They did just fine without him last year. It is sad that he handles it better than you do!!!!! man elliot is better than both of those guys when he did play he played hard but yeah the whole coaching staff thing is just ridiculous that guy needs to leave sour lake but yeah if you think that jonmichal fotenot is better than jacoby and colby then you make no sense Read the post whizzie.........it is alphabetical!!!!

I am very aware of why he did not play last year. I for one am glad that he chose to play hoops this year as it gave the Hawks a little more depth. I am only frustrated about the post that "Iknowgame" and that you made after the game against Navasota. HJ is very fortunate to have the staff that they have. All 3 of those coaches could have head jobs somewhere else and we could have football coaches in their for the JV and Freshman basketball teams. Instead these 3 coach together to put one of the finest products in SE Texas on the floor every Tuesday and Friday nights on all 3 levels. We are very happy that they do that. It is just irritating when someone comes on here and says that the direction that they are heading is wrong. Your brother chose to play and he knew his role coming in to it. HE MADE THAT DECISION!!!! I am glad once again that he did!!!! Just don't come on here and bash the staff after going 73-8 or whatever it is over the last two seasons. No hard feelings!!!

Well since they have already voted for district selections I would say what they did this weekend is irrelevant!!!

Best of luck to Silsbee at State!!!!!!!! You guys played the best on the day that it mattered the most. Represent SE Texas and 21-3A well!!!! Being a Hawk and all I still think that the better team is sitting at home. Silsbee came out with energy, built a big lead, fell behind and then it seemed as though the Tigers are the ones that wanted it more. It seemed that HJ felt like they had been there (State) and won before and that it was no big deal. I was disappointed that the Hawks showed no real emotion during the game. The Tigers were every where in the 4th quarter. HJ shooting less than 50% from the line was the main reason that they are sitting at home. Hawks had a great season losing to just a few great teams. Go get em Tigers!!!!!!!!

This is ridiculous that you would even come on here and say this. I know who made this post and you should be ashamed of yourself for allowing yourself to make a post like this. This entire staff knows what they are doing. You are upset because in your opinion this kid should have played more!!!! You don't make that decision....the coaches do!!!!! If they had won then you would not have made this post!!!! I am very disappointed for you that you made this post!!!! Grow up you are better than this!!!!! If you are a true fan than you would discuss your misfortunes with the staff instead of bashing one of the greatest coaches ever in SE Texas and maybe all of Texas!!!!! BTW the player that you are referring to as at best the 7th-8th best player for HJ.

WOW!!!! What a game. Back and forth!!!! Well everyone is getting the match that they wanted. 1pm Hawks and Tigers, can't wait!!!

WC hit the shots in the first half and they did not in the second half. Great adjustments by the Hawks tonight. It all comes down to one game for the state berth. Can't wait until 1pm. Wish this game was in the Montagne Center!!!!

Both HJ and Silsbee have theire hands full on Friday. It will be great if oth teams can win on Friday.

I hope on I am wrong with my next statement.......... I heard that Barrow has left the team and that he will not return for his 5th year next season. He told my source that he has been through rehab once and that he could not go through it again because of the mental and physiacal aspect of it. A young man with so much talent will be sorely missed for the rest of the season and next. I am however disappointed that he has not stuck it out with this team for the rest of this year.

Wow is all I can say!!!!! Shackbully pretty much hit the nail on the head!!! This Navasota team was not the same team that played OF on Friday night. They ahd another gear and then another gear tonight. Great win for HJ and now looking forward to Friday night in Huntsville. Navasota will be back stronger than ever next year as they return4 out of their top 5. I thought that Silsbee was the most athletic and quick team that HJ has played all year. Navasota makes Silsbee look like a bunch of 40 year olds. See you in Huntsville!!! Hopefully HJ/ Silsbee round 4!!!!!!

The only way LU gets a Post Season Tourney bid is if they win the Conference or the Conference Tourney. No chance if they finish 2nd in the conference and lose a game in the tournament. C'mon baby just win out!!!!!

I saw her walk into the student section... not sure what she did while she was in there though. However, when she walked out, she pushed a guy who works for the AD. The lady was Hancock's mom and his dad went into the LU student section as well. She is a loud mouth anyways. I remember going to HJ/ Kountze games and listening to her for like 10 years. She got mad when the LU students were all over her son for his poor play. I LOVED IT!!!!!

After last nights performance I think the Panther run may be over!!! Lamar Consolidated by 6!!!

I agree Tigers will take this one and move on to Huntsville.
