I am glad that nobody has picked HJ from last year to beat the Kountze team. This proves once again that HJ is the underdog and some how they just keep winning. It is great to be the dog. Nobody thinks that you can pull it out with heart, determination, trust, guts, etc. You always need the players to win the big game. Someone please tell that to Silsbee, Navasota, Connally, Chappel Hill!!! These were all teams that "had better players than HJ"!!!!!! Maybe the heart, determination, trust, guts, etc. will win your school a State Championship next year!!!!! It just won my school another in March!!!

One of the best coaches in the area is not even a head coach right now......he is an assistant on the defending AAA State champs HJ Hawks!!!!!! CD would be a great candidate for this job and should be interviewed if he is even interested in this job. He has several years of head coaching experience and has taken two different AAA teams to a regional tourney not counting HJ!!!!

You must be talking about Silsbee's coach and not HJ's coach in this quote!!!!! How many State titles does the coach at Silsbee have???? How many does the HJ coach have???? Yeah you are rioght...NO COACHING!!!! Coaching won the games for HJ verses Silsbee and through out the playoffs last year!!!!!

HJ had not won a playoff game in 3 years.....and then Donahoe carried them to a Championship. Ozen at the beginning of the year had a much better chance at a Championship than HJ did, I promise you that!!!!! BTW the district Ozen is inis 10 times easier than the district that HJ and Kountze were in!!!!! Ozen was the district champ before the season started and everyone knew it!!!! Kountze split there district championship with EC and HJ won easily the toughest AAA district in the state!!! No doubt that Kris is an incredible player....otherwise he would not be going to Tulane!!! Even though I am a HJ guy I feel like Powell and Donahoe deserved it more!!!!!

After todays performance they prove they are one of the top teams in the country!!! LU now leads by 22 shots after shooting 20 under today!!! Individual Cards are in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 7th!!!!!

thye won't look as good as your picture ;D They will still be very atheltic and compete for the district championship. It will still be a 3 headed monster next year and you never know who will prevail as the district champ!!!

Too many politics involved in these all star games and giving out these awards!!! How does Richard (who is a great player, don't get me wrong) win the award over 2 players who were named MVP of the respective classifications? Donahoe AAA MVP and Powell AA MVP!!!!

First of all congrats to the 2 winners!!!!!!! Once again Ryan Donahoe getting no respect!!!! The media who votes on this really has it out for the best guard in SE Texas because he is from HJ!!!! Dang shame that the kid get's no respect!!!!!! I would love to compare the AAA Player of the Years (Ryan Donahoe) stats versus The Gamble Mr. Outside winner (Kris Richards)!!!!!!

As much as I would like to agree with you it is still the Kountze and EC show. Warren will play 3rd fiddle each of the those years taht you mentioned.
