I have seen Brown play on several occasions, no one can question his game or skills. The kid can flat out play!!!!!! But I am smart enough to know the reasons that he is not at Kelly anymore and know that there is plenty of baggage. I wish the kid best and know that he will get the best if he can clean his act up and make grades!!!! Best of Luck to him next season and in his recruiting war.

How can he me MVP if he ans his team cannot even win a playoff game???? I know that it is different, but how many times has a NBA player won MVP and not made the playoffs or did not even win a series????

Lets see how well his grades are when it is time to sign......my guess would be that he will not be eligible for D1 and will have to go JUCO!!!! What a waste of talent!!!!

Duke maybe on Browns list...But Brown is not on Duke's list, there is no way that Coach K would sign a kid like Brown(great player, but too much baggage).......Just not gonna happen!!!!!

Are you implying that Connally and Silsbee were not good enought to beat HJ???? You are confused!!!!! Connally had a great game plan in the first half and went away from it and HJ made some adjustments at half and only allowed 11 points in the 2nd half!!!!! Silsbee is by far the next best team from Region III in class AAA. Silsbee is just as good as HJ in my opinion, but they lack a true leader to take over a game. IMO HJ got back in to the game by smart coaching and getting Silsbee into foul trouble and finally made some FT down the stretch. I am not sure but I would bet HJ missed at least 75% of their FT in the 1st half!!!

Silsbee should be very proud as they are a very good team and I will be the first to tell you that I did not want HJ to have to play them again!!!!

School likely will not be closed for these schools....a ton of kids will have an excused absense if they choose to go to the tournament. If you just skip school that may be another story!!!!

Their biggest player is 6'3 post and from what I hear they have a 6'2 PG!!! They are very athletic, just like the last 3 Hawk oppponets...

Yes either a school ID or a drivers license....I live in Beaumont and graduated from HJ and should have no problem getting a ticket.

You will be lucky yo get a tournament pass. If your school is going you should be able to buy them from the school for their semifinal game. IF they win then you will ahve to go buy tickets for the final and show proof of ID for that city to get tickets to the final game. Your ticket for the semifinal game is good for both semis in your classification. Ticket cost is likely to be $5-$7

Yes that region in the past has been very weak and it may still be. History has been on the weak side for Region 4 but this team I can assure has improved drastically since December!!!

TABC once again pretty dang good #1 SOC, #2 Dunbar, #3Connally and #6 Ozen. All have punched their ticket to Austin!!!!

HJ played AP in the HJ tourney over the christmas holidays and beat them by 30. They are a much better team than you might think. This is their 4th apparence in Austin since 2002. Yes the region is weak, but they did finish third and won 5 in a row to get there!!!!
