Lol - you just keep on believing that Texas never benefits from bogus calls - we all know better man
-
Keep on believing that - when the conversations are about the Arkansas coaches and the decisions that they have made (or lack thereof) and you are the only one that mentions anything but Arkansas coaches - then well there is an obession. Yes the thread was about the A&M and Arkansas game - you brought the past A&M coaches into a conversation for what reason well I guess you know. Also, when you mention A&M more than you do the team you support it indicates a problem. Shhhhh .... Keep the fact that you are in denial hidden might help you deal with the symptoms.
-
lol - and you state that Aggie fans have a fascination with Texas - but only you can keep bringing Texas A&M into a discussion of the Arkansas coach as well as about every other conversation - I just think you may be the one with the Aggie complex my friend.
-
Sorry but it has never been a well keep secret that sometimes it is not what you know but who you know to get into Texas. Same happens at Texas A&M and most other Universities. But they still draw some of the best and brightest and never worry about getting their quota of qualified students - so much ado about nothing imo.

I think he has at least 2 more years with little grey hairs to worry about. Seems that he is well liked in the Texas power structure - so 2016 is a given no matter what happens imo. In 2016 and after if he does not compete for the Big 12 title then problems will start and pressure to replace will mount. All Texas alumni want to be a national power again at the best and at the minimum to be able to have a better program than Texas A&M and if Charlie can't provide that then he will be asked to move on. Had to laugh heard from a fairly high placed Texas Alumni that donates fairly good sized money that the powers that be at Texas have at least in principal started to address the possibility of a stadium expansion - IF that is true think that is very funny.
-
Yeah as long as you ignore the phantom personal foul on the Texas A&M DB to get Texas into the winning FG range - ohhhhh thats right only Texas can complain about bad calls.
-
Lol - sorry when you use dates that go back (1) before I was born (1959); and (2) before I graduated from High School (1978) is in my opinion ancient history. Why do you use the last 10 years whenever you make a comeback on this topic - It suits your argument. So lets go back 20 years = Texas was 12-8 still not as much "domination". Same argument could be used as to why most Horn fans ignore the 80's when Texas A&M was 8-2. Fact is that the biggest Texas periods of domination were from 1894-1908 and then from 1940-1966 (a little matter of wars might have helped during that period you think since A&M was a military school).
-
Funny thing - only people quoting ancient history are ones that would never attend a fish camp!
-
Yeah sad is it not - But the way the season is going so far for Texas what "quality" wins will they likely have this year - Kansas and Iowa State - lol. Truthfully Texas will likely improve as the year goes on but as one of your follow Texas fans stated - kinda get tired of the "snarky" comments.
-
Don't expect it to be the "dominant" conference every year - just a good one.
-
Yeah every week - lol But don't want to upset the Anti-SEC crowd.
-
Again quoting ancient history - last 30 meetings = 15-15 = Domination Lost! I would love to see a head to head every year just so shut the speculation up!

Texas has a chance against TCU - I have stated that - but they also have a chance to be 1-4 at the end of the day. Will see if Charlie can make his team step up! Key to the game is can Texas defense stop TCU (hell anyone for that matter) if they cannot will be a long day for the Horns. Texas D giving up almost 40 points a game so far this year. On the other note rationalize it anyway that makes you feel better - A&M 4-0 and Texas 1-3 those are facts regardless of how you look at it. And trust me on this Arkansas will have and upset or two in their remaining SEC games - just watch.

Your are very right Hoops we will have to let the year proceed for both Texas and Texas A&M and see where it takes us. I see many potential road blocks in the way for Texas A&M for the remainder of 2015. I see big challenges and 4 potential losses in Miss State, Bama, Ole Miss and LSU - If Texas A&M can win 1/2 of those games they have a chance at a 10-2 or a 9-3 season - I would figure that to be a major win for 2015 as I think 2016 is setting up to be the better year. Even if the Aggie's fall flat and lose all those games they will still very likely still be 8-4 - I can accept that - not happy but accepting. But I see more road blocks for Texas - I see 5 more potential losses with TCU, Oklahoma, WVU, TT and Baylor - will Texas fans be jumping out of buildings is they lose 8 games? Just wondering. Even if they win 1/2 of those games (doubtful) they will still like have a record at best of 6 to 7 wins - really not much improvement if any from last year. I will agree that Texas needs to set its sights on 2016 and 2017 but will have to navigate this year.
-
Oh Oh Oh (raises hand) I think I know I think I know - could it possibly be that all off season we heard how Texas A&M was gonna suk and lose to Arizona State and Arkansas and - as well - just about everybody else and that Texas was gonna turn that corner and be a factor in the Big 12 (yes please go back and review if you forgot). No Texas fans are making every excuse they can think of and having the youngest team is the one that is being played the loudest at the moment. It might well be true there are several young teams out there including Texas A&M that are fielding many freshmen and soph. on their teams. Really all Texas needs to point to at this time is their kicking game - without major mishaps there they would very likely be 3 - 1.
-
This is where I am to be toasted by the anti-SEC posters on this site - but I have always felt that you should look at the entire schedule both conference and non-conference to "decide" if you have played enough "quality" teams. Many continue to point at the non-conference schedule of some teams while ignoring the fact that some teams conference schedule is ridiculously weak. Both should be taken into consideration in any condemnation of who certain teams play, Reviewing the NCAA method - the Big 12's top SOS team is Texas Tech at 26 and the 2nd is Texas at 44. Based on these numbers Baylor and TCU should be ashamed with the 88th and 93rd respectively.

#21 Missippi State at #14 Texas A&M...AGGIES WIN 30-17

In regard to attendance - I was surprised that even the commentators during the Texas - Oklahoma State game made mention a few times about the number of empty seats - that surprised me. -
This game could get very interesting as TCU has given up 55 (TT) and 37 (SMU) to mostly passing offenses. Will they be able to slow down Texas that over the last 2 weeks has been able to do both with Heard on the scramble. This game has the potential to end up looking like the TCU - TT game and over 100 total points being scored again.
-
Trust me as soon as the Aggie's stumble all the Texas posters on this site will be able to quote the games errors blow by blow - only reason ya'll are quite at the moment is well you just ain't got that much to use to degrade the Aggie program - trust me it is coming. But please do not fool yourself that Texas faithful are not watching every Aggie game waiting for - in their opinion - the collapse of the Aggie program. I do watch the Horns - except when they are on the LHN - I ain't paying = sorry
-
Man - picking a lot of upsets are we. Actually the one I do agree with to a degree is Texas at TCU - do not think that TCU defense will hold and I think TCU is way overrated - will see I guess. But I think that Baylor vs Texas Tech will be a rout - I predict Baylor by 30. Hope Tech can keep the good year going but have my serious doubts. Miss State and Texas A&M will be decided by a last minute FG - I think it may be that close

You may be right but Vandy has given Georgia as game as well - maybe just maybe Vandy is a little better than expected. Just the loss (big one) to Western Kentucky makes that argument kinda tough to prove.

BG - Don't know Ole Miss has looked pretty good - but I do think it will be the game of the week - imo While I am and Aggie fan - I think Mississippi State is playing better and is likely to beat A&M is a close game. I do hope kyle field makes the difference however.
