And yet you wonder why Aggie's dislike Texas fans.   Fact is that it makes no difference if you like Sumlin are the Aggie's they have had a better more productive team the last 3-4 years than the Horns have and a lot of the attention IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT A&M WENT TO THE SEC - have we won a NC = NO; have we won a conference championship = NO; Have we beat a No. 1 ranked team = YES and Have we beat more ranked and better teams then Texas has = YES.     Fact is also that the Jury is still out on Strong at Texas - and PhatMack if that article is right (and I do not even think it will be close) then all us Aggie's will be eating a lot of crow and Strong will make a statement that he is a college coach to be dealt with - Just like Texas fans will be eating a lot of crow if A&M has the season next year that I think they may well be capable of.     That is why the off season is always fun - My team will be King and your team will suck - that's the way it is and that's the way it will always be.  

That's one of the many reasons that I do not read or do Texags - never really did like it too much.

Mr. BGarrity - does Kentucky go undefeated this year?   Looks like they have a good chance.

Sad part of that statement is that I used to root for the Horns when they played anyone but A&M and Texas Tech - but the longer I am on this forum the harder it is not to root for Texas to lose and lose bad when they play - a truly sad statement but true.   And as I have stated before the hostility from the Aggie's toward the Horns does not equal the way that A&M is attacked on this forum - not even close.

You may be right - it is obvious that the current system may need to at least be tweaked.

What about sumlin paying LSU chavis buyout? As far as I know it was never officially announced that chavis was the DC? He isn't even listed on the staff even now?   Ok now I know you are just making any anti-Aggie statements you can possibly think of - You really are implying that A&M did something underhanded by paying Chavis's buyout? - that is normally called a condition of hiring negotiated with his contract.     Also, it has been well documented and annouced by A&M that Chavis was hired by A&M - Hell he was on the recruiting trail from the hire date on - why the website has not been updated is a technical issue.

Core values do not bother me at all - go back and read - I have many times stated that I think that if Strong succeeds with his "core values" mantra then the college game in general will benefit.   But some things that have happened at Texas do not support the fact that Strong is 100% committed to the Core Values as he states for the media - i.e. not telling his recruits about a departing coach to perhaps keep a recruit that might just leave (minor in the big scheme of things but still in my opinion an issue).   Also, all I am stating was that yes A&M players had a real bad run with some players getting into trouble with the rules but so did Texas players in the recent past (you do not kick 9 players off a team for "minor infractions").  I commend Strong on taking a strong position with some of the issues he has had o deal with - but to say that Texas is above these issues is naive at best.

Lets make myself clear - I hope you are right and Heard does prove to be a better QB than Texas had this year - they need it.  Looks like we will have to wait and see.  I know Heard was a monster at Guyer but Swoopes was a great HS player as well - does not always transfer to the college game.   I just think with the season that Texas had burning a redshirt was the least of their worries.     And you really think Swoopes looked Ok till the last 2 games - you must have watched different games than I did.

Like always - Texas fans with selective memory - yes A&M has had players kicked off the team and in some cases they violated minor laws.   But Texas players have as well - 2 get kicked off the team for sexual assault - don't recall and A&M players accused of that bad a crime.  Another for possession of a controlled substance - no exactly angelic behavior.

TxHoops - you got me on point one - sorry I misquoted a DC instead of the DL coach.   But on point 2 you lose either way: (1) If he did know he left that information out of the discussion with new DL recruits; (2) If he did not know then I would be real concerned about what other things that Charlie does not have a good grip on (and come one do you really believe that he did not know when he left less than 48 hours after signing day - you know better than that Hoops).

All I hear from Texas fans is that Strong is going to run a clean program without all the issues that other schools have.   But every time something happens like a DC leaving just days after the signing day - he just looks more and more like every other College coach willing to do anything to get the kids to sign.   And while Lampkin is still a die-hard Horn based on his posts he was perturbed that the DC left and he was not aware - just like all the other schools that did the same thing.   I guess withholding information is not the same as lying - just sounds a whole lot like it.  ;)

Why are Texas fans thinking that Heard will be the savior for the offense when he was not even considered as good as Swoopes last year??   Has something changed in the last 4-6 weeks??   Last I heard is that he could not find his accuracy - bad if it is true.

The statement was "lackluster recruiting" not what the program did or made with the recruits - In fact all recruiting classes should be viewed more about how they helped the program on the field rather than how good a group they were when recruited.  But ALL teams lose players dude - happens.   And as I have stated before and you again proved my point - Not many if any Aggie's will argue the fact that Texas has the history and during the 04-09 years did in fact dominate the state in most aspects - but as always Texas fans either quote the 04-09 seasons are the older history which is fact is impressive.  But they completely ignore the late 1980's and 1990's were Texas A&M was the better program and the last 4 - 5 years were Texas A&M is the better overall program.  How long will that be time will tell - but I believe it will be longer than most Texas fans believe.   But as always both Texas and A&M need to get better to claim we rule the State of Texas as Baylor and TCU have a say in that as well.  

What happened to the Horns - top team early but seems to fade every year - Is Barnes he man for Texas or is it time for a change?  Don't follow them enough to know just wondering?

Earl Thomas may be the best of that group - he was a monster at WOS and Texas.

Strong at Texas last year was severely crippled by lackluster recruiting over the past 4-5 years beforehand.   You are kidding right - if this is lackluster recruiting as an Aggie I would take that 5 year history every time:   2010 - 3rd ranked class 2011 - 3rd ranked class 2012 - 2nd ranked class 2013 - 24th ranked class 2014 - 20th ranked class (Strong's first class)

When Idols fall!!!!  And in this case fall hard - long - and often.

Fact is both Texas fans and A&M fans have to beat each other up due to the fact that neither has an answer to the argument that TCU and Baylor are kicking their a** with 3 Star recruits.  Until that changes Aggie and Horn fans have nothing to do but beat each other up - cause what do you say to 2 teams that both had legitimate arguments to be in the final four this year and you are 6-7 and 8-5 respectively.

You just don't understand Texas Talk - everything is better at Texas - even if it ain't in reality. 

Please make sure than that Strong does not try to take credit for the Horns on Defense that will be drafted this year - one or two predicted to be first rounders - since they were "Mack's" recruits.

Just remember this when this year Aggie increases its wins and Texas is still trolling at 6-7 or 7-6 then we can revisit this conversation.   I know you will not forget but neither will I - see you in like 11 months  :)

How is Heard a better QB - from I have read from Texas posters he was not close to as good as Swoopes this year - did he take something to make him better????
