Watched his highlights - looked good coming off the corner on pass rush as well and looks like a ball hawk as well - A&M needs that if he can continue in college.   I also know the "star" system is just an indicator - I have seen No star players become stars and 5 star players become busts.  The 5 Star game is for recruiting bragging rights anyway.   That's where the coaching and quite frankly putting the players in the right position in college to best utilize there talents comes into play - some coaches can and others cannot.   I will take all 3 stars if they turn out like JFF did  ;)

It is interesting that the new DC had his sights set on a 2 star prospect from LA.  - maybe he knows something that we do not - I hope so!

This happened to A&M an you would be screaming "The ship is sinking the ship is sinking"   Sorry - but 10- 15 players over 2 years - indicates issues.  Now the only question is are the issues with the players, atmosphere or coaches?

I think that is funny - A&M has had a few leave - but has not Texas as well - Happens to all teams.  About the sinking ship we will see - Will Texas have a better than 6-7 record next year?  Who's team has more holes in their boat right now - I think it is Texas (shows by the desperate attempt to keep on putting Texas A&M down while having little ammo from the Texas side the last few years).   Until Texas can post another winning season they have no room to talk about running or owning anything - and until they do they will keep looking at the rear end of teams like TCU and Baylor - accept itt.  

Might need to work on your math:   3 Years in the SEC - correct 2 Top 10 Recruiting Classes - Not 3 (was 21 in 2012) - still not in the league of Texas over the last 5 years. Yes they did have a Heisman And Yes they did have several No. 1 draft picks   And sorry at this time TCU and Baylor run this state - Texas is like 4th.  To run the state you have to win on the field and Texas and A&M have work to do  ;)

My choice would be Mariotta hands down from what I know and see.

Money is Money not matter where it comes from.  But you seem to imply that A&M should have just accepted what Nike offered - Don't think so.  Also, A&M did run all the way to the Bank when it left the Big 12 and - as the saying goes "It was time to leave childish things behind" and grow up.

You have to give the Pac 12 props for the bowl season - and it may well not be over as I think that Oregon will be the NC.   Props also to Conference USA with its 4 - 1 mark - they needed that for a reputation gain.   But while the SEC top team did not fair very well - 7 - 5 is not spelling out the demise of the SEC at this time - all things are cyclical and this is as well - will the Pac 12 stay on top we will have to see.   But with the notable exception of the impressive win that TCU posted the Big 12 again had a tough bowl season.

You say they will lose to Iowa State - I do not think so.   I think that 8 wins is very likely - assuming at least a little improvement in the offensive side of the ball.   I also will predict the Strong has at least one big upset in 2015 - OU or Baylor will fall.

All Aggie fans are assuming and immediate improvement in the Defense - I am one of those.   I think that a 9 win season is a possibility - However, think more than that is wishful thinking at this time.

Yes TCU did indeed make a statement - I agree.

Yes the SEC is having a bad post season and the top level of the teams (Bama, Ole Miss, Miss State) have let SEC fans down.   But you have to look behind and see who is posting the real anti-SEC rhetoric - its the Big 12 teams fans who (Buddy Garrity is excluded since he is an Oregon fan) - with the notable exception of TCU - cannot post about the positive end of the year due to the Big 12's 1-4 showing so far.

From what I have seen Oregon has to be the front runner to win this game - might not even be close.

OU showed in its bowl game that it does need QB help and soon  :P

Yeah Texas still does have the history of success that is not matched by many other teams in the country you are completely right.  But Texas A&m has the last 4 years of success that is better than Texas - we take what we can get  :D

No - Strong just needs to beat a ranked team at Texas and then he can be held in a higher esteem.   Texas beat 1 team with a winning record this year and that was WVU (7-6) - When he can beat a team with a 9 or 10 win season (and he will) then we can hold him higher esteem.  When he beats several in one year then he will be due the mantle of Texas savior.  Until then he is just trying to improve a program that is struggling.  As I have stated I think he will succeed - but I do get tired of the people that think that A&M is falling off a cliff and they ended up 8-5 but that Texas has "turned the corner" by hiring Strong and they ended up 6-7.  Yes A&M went through an embarrassing 3 game struggle with Ole Miss, Miss State and Alabama - but were able to at least get the ship back on track toward the end of the season.     What has Texas done lately - 2 straight blowouts - granted TCU was one of them.

I guess that 6-7 is not struggling - I just gotta get me a copy of that Texas fan dictionary to keep up with what is a positive and what is a negative and what is struggling and what is not  :P

Interesting - Don't see the reports of NFL teams interested in a certain Texas coach - must have just missed that!

Too late but looks like TCU is making a statement that they should have been included in the show  :)
