What does being an Aggie have anything to do with this conversation?? Fact is there are several articles regarding the players and student associations worrying about the "attendance issue" at TCU football games - so while I cannot speak of bowl game attendance even TCU is concerned about their home game attendance numbers.
-
"BYU, Cincy, UCF and EC add nothing to the conference. " I tend to agree - Ouch! - BYU would be a good add but the others would just add filling with no punch - they really bring nothing to the table.

"Texas, a team anyone with vision can see was playing better at the end of the year than aggy" Man must be nice to take a 38 point loss and make it a vision. Anyone who can paint a bright picture for either of these teams this year is stretching the truth a LOT. Fact is Texas A&M at least did beat a top 25 team in Auburn - Did Texas? No do not think so! With the exception of WVU Texas had it 5 wins against teams with a combined 19 Wins - 41 Losses (all pretty bad teams) - think it might just be too early to thump your chest on Texas "Improvement".

Still an optimist (the chips man the chips)- I like that :P

Fair or not it appears that at least with the people that vote for the final 4 the Big 12 still has a ways to go to get the credit that it may well deserve. Also, do not think for a second that the fact that TCU and specially Baylor did not get the credit they deserve just due to their history - I do not believe at all that if Texas had the same record and schedule that TCU and Baylor had that they would not be on everyone's top 4 - obviously the better the history of the program in question the more likely they get in.

WOW!!!! I feel a lot better now that we are disagreeing again - the recent past of us being on the same page totally scared me to death

Texas fans may just want to look in a mirror - do a little research - there are many more forums here started by Texas fans to berate, make fun - name your poison - then there are Aggie fans doing the same to Texas. The obsession in my opinion is Texas vs Texas A&M ;)

You can be as tired as you want to be - its not you that matters - I listened long and hard to all the input from all sources for most of the day yesterday and numerous times the lack of a (1) championship game and (2) lack of a quality opponent was mentioned. But will that affect the actual voters - who knows - I unfortunately think that it may. Fact is that everybody in the hunt for the final 4 played a tough opponent yesterday - with the exception of the TCU. You need to remember I am for TCU being included but I do not think the Big 12 helped them this time around. And Sorry Baylor can scream all it wants to but it will be looking in like all but 4 teams. As I have stated numerous times in the past - the 4 team system will never "absolutely" decide an undisputed champion - you need to have at least 16 teams in if that is what you want any lesser amount will lead to this type of discussion at the end of the year.

Got into the conversation late: But think that under the current situation both TCU and Baylor get hosed. I think that not having a championship game could cause both to be left out of the picture. And I also agree that I think both of them deserve it more than FSU. I agree the final four will likely be: 1. Alabama 2. Oregon 3. Ohio State 4. FSU

If his recent history is a projection for the future - maybe we will not see next wither :D

If that is the case and the article really only mentions SC and Auburn - with no mention of the Aggie's - means that A&M is still not considered a "destination" university and we still have a lot of reputation building to do. I will state that if A&M hires the DC from Houston I will be very very very disappointed.

That boy Johnny!

I am one of the ones that still thinks that JFF will have a long and fruitful NFL career - But I also think that sitting this year out will do nothing but help his chances of making it. So I hope they sit him all year. -
At this time - makes no difference what he has done in the past. He wins early and often he will be loved - He struggles and stays in the middle of the pack - in 3 years they will be calling for his head as well. That is the prescription for all major college programs in today's money and win hungry fan and supporter base. Will happen at Texas, Texas A&M and all others. I have already started hearing it from many season ticket holders at A&M - so even Sumlin's time will be limited if he does not start having more successful seasons.
-
Again - I agree with you on this one as well.
-
I personally would not hate to see him leave.
-
Yeah too bad Texas and A&M are gonna have to wait a few years for that :D
-
Truthfully, while I will still root for the SEC to lead the pack - it does not bother me a bit to have the Big 12 talked about as a top conference as those are to a large degree teams from my backyard :) Also, I also be one that will also enjoy it when Texas does "turn it around" as then I do believe the pressure for an annual game between Texas and A&M will heat up - While most people think that it is A&M that is not wanting to play that game I find it interesting that during Texas "down time" they have not really pushed a game between the two rivals. I think they need to play every year and let the chips fall where they may.

More options at QB the better off they are. But from what I saw - Until the OL gets better will not make any difference who the QB is.
-
I was worried about Clowney due to his Sr. Season woes - sitting out games when even his coach questioned if he was truly injured - while I hope he has no serious problems it never looks good when your 1st and highly paid pick does not make he field.
-
You are likely right baddog - but I thought we were talking more recent ratings than 9 years ago ;) There is no doubt that strength of conference changes every year - but since 2006 the SEC as been by far the strongest conference - will they be knocked off - yes - when is the question. Last week the SEC took a butt kicking or they would still be the best league this year.
-
I know that I am partisan for the Aggie's and SEC. But even in a down year the SEC is still tied for first - it is the Big 12 that is up there for the 1st time in awhile. "The race for No. 1, however, is basically a tie between the Big 12 and SEC."

Ray Rice is BACK!!!!! Well sort of?

You and me finally agree :D Would be funny to have one of those commercials play during a game he is playing in. -

Hoyer has been bitten by the INT bug - would be surprised if they start Manziel over him still however. But if the news media is asking - who knows? -
Still a loss for Kliff - can he turn the Team around - the 5 star QB he has coming might help - if not Kliff might not be there much longer.
-
Kinda getting that feel is it not - Would like to see A&M make a splash but does not feel like that is gonna happen.
