If I read this right she could be at fault even worse as she assaulted a minor (not by much) - 17 years old.

Sorry when you get blown out by BYU and lose to a good but struggling UCLA team and you are the Savior for a struggling big time program - every game for coach Strong needs to be a statement game.  

Just caught some of Davis Ash's press conference replay and read an article on sports network.    Texas lost if not a star QB what appears to be a quality person - I was truly impressed with him.   Some highlights:  "I am a victor not a victim", "I want them to remember what I stand for more than my abilities." and "I just wanted a chance to say thank you to the fans.".   Texas could do worse than make sure this young man is taken care of.

Oldtimer just wants people to admit when they have an issue with a school.  

I got that number on speed dial  :D spend wayyyyyy too much time in those casinos.

Texas wins and wins big - Statement game for Coach Strong.   If this game is close the Texas Ex's will start grumbling - Have already heard some from my friends that are Texas Ex's.

"I love everyone."   Except Aggie's of course  ;)    "Nope. Just not very good right now Emphasis on the "right now.""   I  Agree Texas will be back - never stated that they would not be - when is the only question.

Arkansas scares me a little - defense better be ready.

Second game early test to see really how good the Aggie's can be this year.

What's Texas excuse gonna be when they lose 4 or more in the Big 12 (Again) - It can't be that it's hard.  Ohhhh that's right new coach and he gets 3 years - sorry.  

Of course - As SEC teams beat each other up.     Texas A&M will have a tough 4 games coming up - But Texas has a tough row to hoe as well with Kansas  :P, but then they play Baylor and OU 

There is a difference is reporting the news and rejoicing in it.   And WNCIP there were others - that picked A&M to have less losses than 6 so WHY did you only report the one that mad the Aggie's appear to be the worst.  When you have a dislike for anything - and you obviously have a dislike for the Aggie's then you always bring up the worst of what you read.  Keep it up I find it very amusing.

Still Texas fans are at least consistent - Always thinking that everything other schools do revolves around them.   Texas did play a part in this decision but I do not believe that it was even a major part - A&M did see greener pastures and left - I think some Texas fans are having separation anxiety.    

Yes Texas fans point at A&M's non-conference schedule - and likely have a point this year.   But when conference starts A&M does not have a cupcake - not one - but Texas gets to play Kansas, Iowa State and this year it appears Texas Tech - so which has the tougher TOTAL schedule - I still go with Texas A&M.   As it stands today Texas A&M will face 3 Top 10 teams and 3 more that are in the top 25.   Texas will only face 1 top 10 team in Baylor and 2 other top 25 teams ranked 24th and 25th.

Strong may just be what this guy needs  B)

I am way more upset about the rape issue (and the handling of that case (or lack thereof)) than him standing and making some stupid statements out loud.  However, I tend to believe and agree with PhatMack19 and believe that he is correct and this was just an action taken due to all the issues that have surrounded Famous Jameis - the singing of the obnoxious song was just the straw that broke the camels back - so to say.

This is really kind of sad.   I know what Famous Jameis was stupid and I also know that there are questions surrounding him and the rape charge.   But when has it become a probational offense to BE STUPID or OFFENSIVE.     The PC world has taken over and players in the NCAA and the NFL better be aware and prepared to pay the price for being Stupid.  Yet they can do drugs now and be re-instated almost immediately - kinda mixed signals I  think  :P

You are right TcHoops - there is little of no doubt that the expectation levels at Texas and Texas A&M do vary - Texas expects the best and its history shows that they can and do achieve it.  Texas A&M in my opinion is heading in that direction just hope it sticks.

You are more optimistic than I am I think that with A&M schedule they will stumble maybe twice - I do agree with you on the other teams.  Baylor and OU will be a great game to watch.

Yeah I agree all they need is like another 7 position players and a pitcher or 2 and they are set  :D   Altuve is by far the best player on this team - if he played for any team in the race he would be getting a lot of talk for MVP I think.

You can't seem to drop the middle of the pack argument - you must really like it - but A&M's middle of the pack is still better than Texas has been able to do for now going on 5 years (ouch that must really hurt) :(   Now relive the fact that Texas fired their coach and A&M gave theirs a raise - did that did not change the fact that Texas lost to BYU worse than Mack Brown did in 2013 while Texas A&M pulled what most experts called a major upset in week one ;)     Oh yeah Texas A&M is back in the top 10 as well.     Now here comes WNCIP telling everyone that 3 years - yes 3 years is what it takes to rebuild a program  :P   I have to love that now while Texas fans can find little to boast about with their program that the only thing they have in their arsenal is to demean Texas A&M - gotta love those Horns  :lol:   We can revisit this when Strong does make the Texas program respectable again (3 years if WNCIP is right) - and I still believe that he very likely will - but until then best wishes.

WNCIP - I am not going back to quote the numerous (and I mean numerous) sources - But to say the least Most Texas and other Big 12-2 teams fans were predicting the demise of the A&M program and stating that they would be regulated to the Kentucky and Vanderbilt status in the SEC - many seemed downright giddy about the prospects of A&M and their (fans)  perceived problems with their move to the SEC.  Suffice to say Sumlin and the Aggie's have made these arguments basically mute with their performance so far in the SEC.
