  1. Yeah some of the big wigs that are used to catching the big ones and never got the most meat from those fish really need to quit trying to try and pin that lack of ability on the new fisherman until they have the chance to see if they can get more meat from the fish that they are catching
  2. I really do not know of the Sumlin regime can keep this up for long - but it is fun at the moment  :D   Now I feel like Texas fans felt like about 10 years ago.   I just hope that Sumlin (in the SEC) can have success similar to what Mack Brown had - 77%+ win ratio and 2 NC games with at least one win - would make me a happy Aggie!
  3. Hope Texas goes all the way - Good  thing for the State of Texas  :)
  4. I openly apologize for the "stupid" comment - it was stupid of me.
  5. And Childish Texas fans calling the Aggie's "igs" and in some cases worse is a "Typical" response from Texas fans - I guess that means that they are "butt hurt" as well?  You can't complain about what Aggie's are calling Texas fans and ignore what Texas fans call Aggie's - unless you are a big time hypocrite.   Congrats to the Big 12 - they appear to be a better baseball conference than the SEC this year.  As stated I hope Texas does well and goes far - Too bad not a single Texas fan on this forum would wish the Aggie's  the same.
  6. Congrats to the Texas Baseball team - Hope they go far!   But "baddog and "txhoops" continue to show why they act like "typical" Texas fans on this forum and continue their lack of good sportsmanship with normal stupid statements..
  7. Texas is a $$$$$$ making athletic department - Kinda makes you wonder if $$$ is king why are their sports - both Men and Women's all winning the NC and Big 12 title every year?  :D   Unlike the poor schools like Baylor and A&M that have to pinch every dollar just to put teams on the field :D
  8. Yeah and the shorthorns are pretty good at running that as well  ;)
  9. Yes if anyone "Owns the Great State of Texas" it is Baylor at the moment.  Texas A&M while recruiting well does need to continue the winning to be considered the dominate team in Texas - but to say Texas owns this state at this time is a stretch.  Texas has owned the state for most of the last 100 years but the times they appear to be achanging  ;)   If Briles keeps  the winning going on in Baylor he will be a GOD in college football coaching ranks  :)
  10. Likely not.  But if Aggie's are realistic than as long as Sumlin is winning 8-10 game a years and only losing to top rated teams then I could live with that.  The reality of playing in the current SEC is that you will likely face 4-5 ranked teams every year and that many of  those will be ranked in the top 10 - that will equate to having a real hard time in winning regularly in the SEC - Hell only Alabama has been able to year in and year out win 11+ games every year.   As I have stated in the past the playing field as it is today is much more level than it was when Texas was able to win 10-11 games year in and year out and the reason that Texas always expects to be the best team is that history - that will be harder for Texas or any team to year in and year out win 10-11 games (and even harder in the SEC).   So the quick answer to that question is yes if he has a good program and wins 8-11 games a year - I could see myself being content.  Would like to see a NC game for A&M in the near future but I really see the odds for that to be likely as low.  That being said I will say the same thing for most teams - with the notable exception of Alabama.
  11. All you gotta do is Win Baby Win!!!!!!!
  12. No I am saving up to attend the Texas NC game in the next 2 - 3 years -  I think that a rodent that is amphibious has promised it  ;)
  13. Statement from the plaintiffs Attorney:   ''What I expect to happen after a ruling in favor of the plaintiffs by the judge at trial is that individual colleges or conferences will make their own rules in respect to licensing rather than the NCAA,'' said Edelman, an associate professor of law at City University of New York who specializes in sports and antitrust issues. This is a movement from an illegal restraint of trade toward a free market, and I very much like their chances at trial.''   If this happens you will see the beginning of the death of the NCAA and the beginning of the Super Conferences (with little or no supervision) and the smaller universities will suffer greatly if this happens.  While I am not fan of the NCAA if it dies who will supervise the conferences - themselves (lol)?  Also, I would expect that all sports other than Football and Basketball to suffer as well.   Will be interesting to see how this develops.
  14. Sorry for those that may not be aware of what this is - here is a sumamry:   "The plaintiffs are seeking an injunction that would allow Division I players the right to band together to sell their services in an open market."
  15. What is the opinion on this. If they win college athletics will change forever. Thoughts?
  16. ^^^^^^ That makes all things all right in the new Big Time College football
  17. ^^^^^ They did not win the Heisman.
  18. Yeah your likely right and they do already regret drafting him - they really do not like the surge in season ticket sales that he caused and the fact that the Browns are now regularly mentioned  in the national sports media and other media as well - and due to the fact that he will certainly struggle  ;) they likely will release him and re-sign Vince Young prior to training camp.
  19. Just like the nauseating dribble from horn faithful that limit him to the VY NFL career path - or just an NFL implosion - without giving him any chance of making it in the NFL.   The jury is still out on JFF but that can be said of all the draft picks that were selected a week ago.     As far as being immature (1) he is just 21 years old so he is allowed some immaturity; (2) other than a few things he posted the summer after he won the Heisman - what has he done recently to support that argument?; (3) In the NFL it really does not matter what he does off the field as long as he performs on the field and so far in his career he has performed on the field remarkably well; and (4) He will make mistakes - what will determine if he will stick in the NFL is how he adjust to those mistakes and if he does not adjust well he will fail.  The only difference between the Aggie faithful (blind support) and the Horn faithful (blind hate) is that neither knows what the outcome of this will be they only post their hopes and wishes as to what it will be.  And as with my 54 year history with the two schools the hatred and degrading from Horn fans is far worse than the other way around - In my Opinion.
  20. After Texas's last few years production from the QB position you would think the last worry that Texas might have is having "too many" options at QB.
  21. Jadevon Clowney - needs to play several positions to help out the Texan's
  22. Don't mind a bit as I like stirring the pot as well  :D
  23. Ah and English Major I see - I was referring to the fact that GCMPats2 dislikes A&M and Alabama.  I do not profess to know the likes and dislike of Louisville.    As to how I looked at this:   Alabama - 978 (Tied with Stanford surprisingly) Texas A&M - 954 Louisville - 948 (you do have to give Strong credit for improving the score from 869) Texas - 936   Have to wonder if t his played any factor in getting Mack re-assigned.   Also, interesting to note that Northwestern (the Union School) was 2nd highest on the list.
  24. Well depends on how you look at this - Strongs APR score at Louisville would have place it 10th in the SEC - and behind the APR scores of the hated Aggie's and Alabama.   But it did beat the APR score that Texas had.
  25. Great for Strong - They need a good QB for their climb back to the top.
