Homecoming, hopefully still on a big winning streak, first place in the Conference. Isn't Saturday also the big Spring recruitment day, as well? I don't see why 8000+ shouldn't show up. We had almost 7500 last year for Homecoming, with a less exciting team.

Let's go TSU-Huntsvile, let's go!

I don't know who told you that, but he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. Anyone could have seen that Lamar was going to win this game easily.

Truth be told, I don't think Dale was the one that needed to be kept in line tonight. -

I'm not sure what abovetherim's problem was with Posey of UTA. He stayed on his case all game. Posey got mad, and I was sure he was going to come after atr. I would have tried to defend him, but Posey's a big guy. I'm not sure how much I could have helped. -

This was an encouraging game, because no one played particularly well, but the Cards toughed it out for a decisive win. When you can beat a good league team by double digits on an off night, you're doing something right. -
Thanks! I'll PM my number to you.

Lamar University spring enrollment up 16 percent

No slander intended. I liked Orange when I lived there. 2500 is a lot more likely, and your point holds true. -
Lamar University spring enrollment up 16 percent

I generally agree with this, but I think your predictions for LSC-O is very optimistic. It's at 1900 students, but it hasn't grown since around 2000. (Like much of Orange.) I hope it can begin growth, it's a very nice campus, and I enjoyed my one class there, but it just hasn't. -
It looks like we have our very own web advertising model on the board. ;D

Celebrating small victories: It is nice to have Lamar Tennis teams that can beat bad teams this year. I'm not going to go as far as to say that they'll be good yet, but they won't be awful. And that's an improvement.

I've been busy and haven't had a chance to write one. Hopefully I can get back to it soon. I really enjoy doing it when I have a chance. -
VIDEO......LU Baseball Preview

I'm pumped about Baseball season already. Even with the late start, it's only 3 weeks away. It's time to start heckling some opponents and umpires. -
KBTV Channel 4 is selling $1 tickets to Saturday's Lamar Men's Basketball Game against Southeastern Louisiana. These tickets are available at their Parkdale Mall Studio tomorrow through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

*LU Ladies vs. McNeese St./McNeese State Wins/Comments*
weslinder replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
McNeese was unconcious. Twice, Lamar defended 30 seconds, McNeese was forced to shoot a 35 foot contested shot, and they made it. Still if Brittany were her typical self, Lamar wins. -
God, I hope not. It'll get the program started on a shady, cheating start. Lamar won't be able to afford to run a professional football team. Switzer doesn't know how to coach amateurs. There's another name out there that will get nearly as much national attention, he's a friend of Tubbs', he's from Southeast Texas originally, and best of all he's a better coach and much more honest than Switzer. If you want to hire a coach for the publicity, you hire R.C. Slocum, he's got 80% of the notoriety, with none of the baggage.

Updated List of Projects Approved for Lamar
weslinder replied to a topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
As I remember it, these are the plans: The Childcare place will be rebuilt across the street, and the Soccer field will be built in its place, just east of Vincent-Beck. The Softball field will be built just west of Vincent-Beck. I have also heard, less officially, but more recently, that the soccer field will be built across the street between Brooks-Shivers and the John Gray Center. -
No. If Lamar gets 20-21 wins, they probably will get a 15 seed. If they get 19, they will get a 16th seed, but no play-in game. Fewer wins than 19, and the play-in game becomes a possibility.

When Lamar last went to the NCAA Tournament in 2000, there was no play-in game. The tournament went to 65 teams in 2001.
