Yea we lost to St Thomas, because they outplayed us, they scored with help of the mud....i know your thinking thats an excuse but its not because if you would have seen the way they got there first goal you could make an argument that the mud wasnt a factor in the way they scored. it wasnt a good shot or because they could finsih better but because our goal slid out to get the ball but the ball stopped because of the mud and they had a player there to make a shot five feet in front of the goal soooooooooooo. and eSOC i would really like to see what evey team your associated with play st. thomas. then please come on this forum and talk about how kelly isnt a team without kirby.

IM A KELLY PLAYER...and i would like to state that in that tournament we eneded the LCM game with only two starters in and they were both out of position. The Nederland game we had a good amount of subs in but not as many against LCM. but to whoever thinks the only reason Matt Kirby gets a number one vote because it is a kelly fan saying it is ridiculous. There have been players from other teams who themselves are ranked high in the best player poll but they have said Kirby is better. and another thing Matt Kirby recently signed with the Houston Dynamo U-18 team which means he can go pro right of high school.(so i think this could be a little sign that Kirby has skill and worthy of the title of best player) and as for the rest of the team we have a solid team and some amazing players who should most def get ranked in setx but are often over-looked by people because when you think of Kelly all you see is Kirby. but in the past weeks with Kirby hurt we have played very well and defeated St. Pius, a district rival, in doing that we really showed that we are a team and there are ten(or more) other amazing players on the Kelly team that are worthy of recognition

i agree lumberton is a skilled team they should def. be number two and i think nederland should be three. my top 5 goes like this 1 Kelly 2 Lumberton 3 Central/Nederland 4 Vidor 5 LCM

Yall both need to chill out...if you go into a game lookin for a fight your just disgracing this amazing sport..Honestly i think soccer is gettin a bit more recognition, not much but a tiny bit, in setx. but if you play the game like its boxing your just giving soccer a bad name. I understand if you get fired up in a game and get a hothead, because ive been in that situation many times, but if you go into a game lookin to take someone out its not gonna end up good for either.

im 100% sure kelly would dominate...but nothing against the vidor guys i played with a couple of them in club and they have some real talent.

For lumberton a kid named Wes i think he plays sweeper for his small size he can hold his own. Along with him im gonna have to go with all the kelly freshmen mentioned earlier. THey all are def in my top five

kellys field is in the worst shape ive ever seen it. after two games played in it thursday you could sink in the mud 3 in. and you couldnt cut at all, passing game is non-existent. my advice is to try a lot of chips and use power and not finesse for anyone whos gotta play in a mud-pit.

Good job silsbee keeper..but a GK shouldnt have to work that hard.. sounds like your defense needs to step it up.

Wow 112 saves in 5 games is pretty good..props on that..but it sounds like your defense might be a little lacking. yall should probably work on that. but goalie sounds good.

Sharkfutbol.... OHH how little you know. Joe Fontana did exactly what you said. Let me paint a picture for you......Four years ago and a Kelly soccer team with no drive or direction they only ended up winning two games.. The very next year Joe Fontana comes to kelly and turns the team totally around kelly went from two wins the year before to district and regional champs. And the starting team was mainly seniors. Furthermore, you say and idiot can take a team that is loaded with talent and make them winners....that is stupid. A coach helps the players camo together as a team and he gives them inspiration and direction. And a great coach can take an amazing player whatch that person play and then tell them what they need to do to be better, which is what Joe does. and one more thing i would appreciate it if you would not refer to Joe Fontana as a lad, even though i dont know who or what you are, you could be a coach, player, parent, or fan it does not matter he is better than you

What game did kirby get "shut down".. ohh and by the way its not just the fact that kirby can score goals(which he can and very well).. he is faster than almost everyone hes faced, he has phenomenal foot skills, he is a genius on the field, he can play midfielber as good as people who play mid as their starting position, and if he had to im willing to bet a large amount of money that he could play sweeper or any defensive position great. Basically Kirby is the real deal, total package abut dont take my word for it come out to kelly next time there is a game and whatch him play as well as every other Kelly player and you are sure to be amazed not just by Kirby but by the whole team.

And Bon Mot in case you doubt what i said i can give you a list of our starters and The PRIVATE middle schools they went to: Kirby-St Anne Clark-All Saints Hanks-St Anne Feidler-St Anne Carona- St Anne MacAllum-All Saints Allen- All Saints Nelson-St. Anne Mann-All Saints Horning-St. Anthony (are only exception) Stockie- Odem P.S. St Anne, St. Anthony, and All Saints are all feeder schools for Kelly

First off Bon Mot, Kelly Soccer does not recruit at all, are school gives us no money for scholarships and doesnt give us any respect at all. Every starter with the exception of our goalie grew up in a private school and are going to a private high school because thats where they wanted to go... But lets talk about Stockie the keeper and the only starter not to go to private school there whole life. IF you ask him the reason he came to kelly is because he heard bad things about other area coaches and decided he wanted to win and play for an amazing soccer program not because a coach came and talked to him. So if you saying Kelly recruits soccer players is honestly one of the stupidest things that ive read on these forums. Second off, i agree a rematch with lumberton would be a better game but im still gonna put the Dawgs as the winners of that match, but im not saying that with any disrespect to Lumberton the they are a great team and easily the number 2 team in this area

Matt Kirby....but also to name a few other amazing players, none as good as Kirby but definitely in the top ten; Ben Hanks, Nathan Stockie (GK), Donnie Carona, and Brent Fiedler. P.S. all these guys are from Kelly and are just as good as any of the other guys named on here. So what im trying to say is Kelly, with the help of the great Joe Fontana, produces amazing soccer players and will keep on doing it for years to come.

Nathan Stockie best of all time, he covers the whole goal at once he dominates as well as the kelly dawgs.
