Kelly wins 3-1, in PK's after a 1-1 tie regular tie.. First half i would say Kelly pretty much dominated the field... and went into the locker room 1-0... After a shakey second half, St. Pius was able to find the back of the net with around 45 seconds left. They went two scoreless overtimes and finally a Kelly victory in PK's Goals (for kelly)---During Game-John Beaver, assisist-Matthew Horning..PKs---Matthew Horning, Ben Hanks, and Brent Fiedler....After allowing the first PK goal keeper Nathan Stockie made a clutch save and the other two people were so scared they just decided to kick the ball wide

Kelly lost 3-2 in the Klein Showcase to a VERY good Fort Bend Clements team.. Clements scored first in the first half and again in the second, Kelly started playing better in the second and put two in...once again in the last minutes of the game(around three minutes left) there was a somewhat questionable call which resulted in a PK, where Clements found there winning goal.. and im not trying make an excuse for the loss with the "questionable call" phrase because Clements was better than us

In the Klein Showcase, Kelly lost to Austin Westlake 1-0... The goal came with roughly 8 minutes left in the game off of a corner kick finished by a header... Overall it was a very well played game on both sides of the ball but the score shows who the better team was tonight

In my opinion PNG, they were able to move the ball very well, where Vidor played more of a drop it back and clear it out type game. In the Vidor game the ball was in the air a lot and the PNG game the ball was played on the ground more....but i say that and it was Vidors first game/scrimmage so they will most likely play more settled in upcoming games. Good luck to both of these teams in district

I like Central this year, it would be nice to see Nederlands young talent step up and prove me wrong...and of course Lumberton will be in the mix....My ideal finish for this district would be, however wrong it may be.. this is what i would like to see 1. Central 2. Nederland 3. Lumberton But all of these team are good, so that should make for some good and exciting match ups. Good luck to everyone though, im looking forward to january.

Thats your opinion and i respect that, but what are you judging that on? I am not going to say we would win but im not going to say we would lose. Becasue i have never seen friendswood, i just know yalls record (last years) and it seems that yall are okay. But if you did research on kelly you would see that our record was not as good as yalls, however it was as good as the team that beat yall in the playoffs(and before you think im trying to imply that we are a better team because of our record, i am not. im just stating a fact to show our record was not bad at all.) So i would love to play friendswood to see if we would get blown off the field by this supposedly godly team but it doesnt look like our schedules could fit it in. maybe we will have a team in common on the schedule and make some kind of comparison off of that.

Yes it was at the beginning of the season, so that does affect their play, and i agree wwe got better from beginning to end and had we played them in march it would have been a "pick em" because Kelly had not been playing since Febuary, however if LAST YEAR you put Lumberton against Kelly and they bothplayed their best game of the season, I believe kelly wins id say with a score like 3-1 or 2-1.. i give them a goal because they have a good offensive connection in Waldrup and Brackin.. but as for their defense against our offense im not sure they could hold us, i believe their sweeper was a fresmen last year... and im not only judging on our "scrimmage" i got to watch the Lumb./Central championship game last year, and i thought that Lumberton did good but in my eyes neither of the teams THAT NIGHT could have competed with us...and i am giving Lumberton the benefit of the doubt that, that was not their best game.

yea i guess that was kind of bragging. but seriously i would really like for you, to come to one of our games this season, friendswoodfan. so you can see for yourself if we are good, great, or neither.. if you want directions to Kelly i will gladly give them to you, so you can make an educated opinion on our soccer team.

Sorry i agree with what you are saying, i should have said "Last year it was a common fact that we were the best team in the area(MAYBE in a tie with WB). And when January roles around, we will hopefully prove the same thing." and before you say anything about West Brook, i only say that because we did not play them so i dont want to sound arrogant. and for the upcoming games against our area, Our two toughest games against teams in our area should be Lumberton and Nederland. And we beat Lumberton last year 5-1 and we only lost two seniors to lumbertons i THINK five, maybe four, so unless Lumerton got some amazing talent coming in, im putting my money on Kelly... and truthfully i think nederland will be the tougher game out of the two because they have very good underclassmen, but i once again put my money on kelly because i think our very good upper classmen (and sophmores) will prove to be to much for nederland....and as for West Brook, they lost way to many seniors and dont have very strong underclassmen and i have friends who play for the Brook that say they arnt as good as they normally are...So the only team who i could possibly see being argued against us for the best team in our area this upcoming season is Central and that is only if they beat out Lumberton and Ned. for district champs, which should be tough but i hope they can do it....but hey this i just my opinion and thats what great about these boards is giving your opinion and arguing for it.

Why dont you come to our next home game on Monday at Kelly high school at i believe Seven, if you need directions i will happily give them to you..or if you want to come to a better game then on friday we play St. Thomas, the returning district champs, for our district opener. then judge for yourself how good we are, instead of making your judgement from a public forum.. im not going to say we are better than any of the teams you mentioned because i dont know much about them, however i would love to play friendswood because from last years record yall seem pretty good.... And when have we ever bragged, it is a pretty common fact that Kelly is the best team in our area. And as for the "excuses" i think everyone needs to stop trying to change his mind on what an excuse is.. Some people just choose to be hard-headed.

No, your wrong. he is just saying, that is one reason we were not as sharp. another reason that we lost is because we played bad.. is that an excuse? because from what your saying it is. Would you rather him just have said Kelly lost?

Hey, i know we got beat, didnt i say that?? and no he is not making excuses and my "buddy" would be our coach.. excuses are made to try and prove that we should have one the game... i dont think either of us said that, we lost and we know it.. let me give you an example of an excuse....."The refs were awful, we could have won if we had diffrent refs."....now here is an example of a reason for our loss "travel took its toll...we only had 3 shots to their 14, this is why we lost." do you get the diffrence?? or should i explain it more (and my example of an excuse was just that an example, im not trying to put our loss on the refs, its on us) .... its done with so stop hating on kelly

were you at the game?? and we tied this team earlier in the season, i wont say we are better than this team because i am not that ignorant, however i do believe we are an evenly matched team.. im not trying to make excuses because we lost and nothing will change that, we lost because we played bad at the begining, there is no getting around that but we were not "lucky" the score wasnt worse than 1-0, our defense and keeper, stepped up and didnt let them score after their first goal....please dont act like you know what your talking about.
