I beg to differ that Madison would have beat the heck out of Silsbee or HJ. Madison goes into overtime with Estacado, and Estacado went into OT with HJ. HJ with a few less mistakes gets into the Madison game and if Wagner plays as well as he did against HJ, they would have won against Madison. Silsbee was obviously the more athletic team out of Estacado, HJ, or Jasper. Mistakes against Jasper killed them and I think Silsbee matches up perfectly with Madison. Continue on with the Duke and Florida State game ;D

HJ has only 2 up-to-par freshmen becoming sophmores. Cleveland outranks this thread by much. They have an outstanding lowerclass.

And not being rude to Will Anderson, but I think he can play inside at the post much better than outside. He was starting to learn ball control and how to get the ball through the hoop. I say he comes off the bench next year for Philip Ricossa as another threat. HJ will have great depth next year.

I'm thinking Garret Gustafson, Grayson Sutherland, Jacoby Turner, Blake Venable, and Philip Ricossa. I think that starting group has well shown that two of those can be ranked amoung the top 25 in our area again. Philip Ricossa and Jacoby Turner.

Ahhh, but you must remember Spinks that you are just one of those local 3-a country bumpkins who don't "really know and understand what is going on. The fact that you participated in division 1 college competition, and the fact that your brother has either played in and coached in 3 state tournaments is meaningless. What even makes it more meaningless is that you are from a 3-a school so your opinion doesn't count. Same goes for Billy Gillespie and Bill Self. But the thing is, Spinks stated nothin but facts. So you saying that his "opinion" doesn't count, it really isn't even an opinion at all. The only opinion he said was that Dick might not like HJ or have no clue what he is talking about. Spinks was right on topic I think and though our region hasnt brought anything back lately, I think we have way more depth than any other region.

Also, while the class 5A usually has students enrolling around 2200's, Houston Strake Jesuit only has 892 enrolled students. So as a 3A sized school, they happen to have found fantastic players that are overall better than any other school in texas with schools doubled their size.

I just don't see how HJ is not in the mix that much...Whole entire offense cept 1 linemen coming back and everyone on defense except a few linebackers, a dlinemen, and a saftey. Even though BC has everyone coming back, HJ played exceptionally well against them. I'd rather say district 21-3A is going to be on fire next year. Good games with everyone looking for atleast the 3rd spot. I think HJ will be a match for everyone this coming year.

That argument between bleed orange and bullets was almost as pointless as me punching myself in the face. However, i decided to read the whole argument because i enjoyed the aggression, but then was depressed at the end because it got so out of hand, i couldn't tell if its sarcasm or not.

Silsbee just has tremendous athleitc depth in basketball...They have 4 kids on their JV dunking.

I think you're slightly confused on their conversations, but your original thoughts are right. Its just 5a and 4a. 3A only allows 3 still

\ Watch it real deal even though I have lived and breathed HJ for the last 16 years and my kids have Hawk blood running through there veins, I am still a Nederland graduate and proud of the fact. Actually graduated with Coach English and went to school there when Coach Sims was the girls coach there. so basically this is a nice way of putting NERDland GETS DOMINATED... :o :o Ha...sorry I didnt know you were a proud graduate from IWISHWEWEREASGOODASPN-G high school ...man my bad...haha ;D Actually, they did quite better than PN-G this year. Thats very impressive. It only continues to grow more and more each year though. I hope that lion does accompany them in the stands however, hopefully Mr. Nolte can keep him under control though.

Cleveland's players are possibly the most sportsmanship team that HJ played all year I think. As far as what is talked on the forum its a totally different story. Not to all Cleveland fans, but definitly POPNLOCK. Just wait till the games get a little deeper, like when yall get Carthage in the 3rd round and possibly WO-S in the 4th round. Thats when you'll see the hard-nose defense and start rethinking about the very offense you're saying "will go all the way." As for the players of Cleveland, great job, keep up the hard work, and goodluck. (even though I have a slight hatred towards ya'll 8))

yea and i know clevleand is going to be stout next year. same with HJ as well...I hope they play again next year in preseason. these two usually have a good game I think. best of luck to cleveland. I know they got it against rockdale

heh. I saw the other posts of like 35 being put up on HJ. I really doubt it. I was meaning it'll be lower than that. Like both teams being close. But, of course, HJ on top 8)
