2.
is bertrand healthy?kid was hard to stop last yr.
I would think Bertrand is missing his offensive line from last year..... They will be tough to replace.
 3.
Didn't Nederland dominate this team in a scrimmage already, with a lineman and TE out?
Yes, I believe they did.....
 4.
PNG Freshman 32  Port Arthur Memorial freshmen 0
Just curious, are the Indian freshman playing Memorials B team? I believe the Titans have two frosh teams, and the A team is playing at home tonight.

 6. Happened to be in P.A. at Memorials stadium today....Checked the surface temp of the turf with a Fluke infrared thermometer about 1pm, 156 degrees!!!!!      Pretty scary, could feel the heat through my Wolverine boots.

 10. I can see both sides of this argument but, any new coach would take a High School job without batting an eye. Especially at his alma mater.Correct me if Im wrong but, didnt he graduate from Ned?

Question for the new assistant basketball coach: what is your name, what school were you at previously and what were you coaching at that time, did you play basketball in HS, have you ever coached basketball at any level, and what would YOU say is your ability and overall knowledge of the game.??? This would probably be a good time for Neumann to justify his hire, and for this new coach to lay out the resume that landed him this job.
Still no response ??? Does ANYONE know anything about this assistant coach and his credential??
I do and I don't think he should be the focus of your thread. He is from Ned, lives in Ned, and is coming to work in Ned in the best interest of himself and his family. Is he a "basketball guy"? No. But he took the job offered to him. The AD could prob move Smith and put Walker at MS and both would be happy, but AD is the boss. He has to have SOME reason for putting the coaches where they are. The coaches just do what they gotta do. Don't drag Walker down for doing what's best for himself and his family.
No disrespect at all to Walker, I'm sure he is a fine person, and I truly mean that. But I certainly don't see how it can be in his best interest to accept a job he is not qualified for, regardless of who offers it to him. Will the same person that hired him eventually have to fire him due to his inability and lack of knowledge in basketball?? Or should the AD that hired him, WITHOUT EVEN CONSULTING with the head basketball coach, have to justify his decision to the school board?
11. OH-NO..... NOT THE L-TRAIN!!!!!!!
 12. Yes Godfather its the same offense they ran for years, and the te is a huge kid. Looks to be about 6' 3'' or so........
 13. Didnt run a ton of plays in team offense because they turned around and ran team defense in the same practice. Dont remember any two tight, mainly split backfield. It was HOT, and its real early, conditioning needs work (to be expected).
 14. Got to see them practice sat morning, the potential is there.....The front four on defense is stout, biggest team overall that weve had in years.
 15.
I get a bad feeling for PNG in this game. With losing there leading receiver and star running back i just don't think they can compete with the likes of PAM. But i have been wrong and i have learned from past experiences that to never count out PNG so it will definitely be a good game.
16.
I could probably go back and find fifty different posts from the '09 football season from fans of every school in 20-4A that say the exact same thing, but whatever. We'll just see how many deep playoff runs PN-G has made in ten years and how many Nederland has made in ten years and call it at that. My point about the program is that whether it's fully implemented or not, you still have yet to see kids that developed entirely in it on the football field. The kids in the seventh grade during the '09 season (Faircloth's first season here) are just now entering high school. Everyone that's on the field right now was partially developed by the Burnett program and partially by the Faircloth program. You can't rate two programs against each other until both have products that are solely theirs on the field. The PN-G Indians of the 2014 season are going to look totally different than the PN-G Indians of today, and I personally believe that the rest of 20-4A - perhaps the rest of the state - is going to be in for a surprise when they hit the field.
WOW!!!!!!!!! :o :o :D
 17. Talked to a coach today and he said Faircloth and Harrison have agreed to play a regular season game...... Where you at Scooter?
 18. Heard today that Tony was getting a look at QB, and Green wouldnt be ready the first couple games......
