3.
Just have a simply question. What can the fans do to let the School Board know that it is time for a coaching change in Buna?   I am glad that the game ended up not being televised due to technical problems. It was EMBARASSING, i feel for the kids who played, who gave their all.
Pardon? This is a team that going into its last game is 6-3 on the season and STILL has a shot at the playoffs.  What EC did last night was what they did to the likes of Anahuac and Newton. Good coaches are at a premium, I think y'all need to do everything you can to hang onto the coaching staff you have!

So if they can keep their people off the sidelines they really do have a chance to win. Last week when the Sharks traveled here to Evadale, I thought we were in for a good game. They have some good looking athletes and some leadership that has been in their program for many years. When the Shark defense forced a fumble on the Rebels in their first series I was really thinking it was going to be a tough game, but as the game wore on what really got me was how undisciplined the Sharks became. Now I do understand that when the score gets out of hand that things can happen, but it seemed excessive and I was also bothered once late in the 3rd quarter when one of the Sharks ran for a first down and got up and made an NFL-like first down point. The ironic thing was the Rebels were up by 40 something. Not trying to bash anyone, but the old touchdown attage applies, "When you score act like you have been there before". I would say that applies to first downs too. I think it is going to be a close game, but if the Sharks play as undisiplined as they did last week I fear that their playoff drought will continue.
Good points right there, and then you look at the common opponents that each team has played and it doesn't get any better.  Both teams got beat up by Colmesneil, SP took a whooping from WH (HI forfeited that game) and Deweyville (HI cancelled).  Legacy beat both of them pretty good as well.  SP's only bright spot was that it beat O'Connell (HI lost that one).  No telling how the game could go tonight.  One advantage SP has, is that the game is being played in SP.
What is the difference between forfeiting a game, and cancelling a game?  I am just curious. I found your use of these two words interesting, like perhaps you know the difference.
Well if you look at some of the post put on here, and also look at the schedules you would see where I got those two words from.  So if you have a complaint, ask the mediator who updates the schedules, MR ENGLISH TEACHER/POLICE!!!!  Oh good luck to both teams tonight  :)
It's quite simple, West Hardin claimed it as a forfeit, Deweyville merely held it as a cancellation.
 5. The winner of the first of two playoff games plays Bridge City tomorrow in Vidor at 2 to determine the number 2 seed out of 21-3A.
If our O can't put enough points on the board...what differance does it make how good a defense is. ;D Oh and if your saying Silsbee's defense is better than WO-S...That's a stretch. Will find out tonight if me or you know what we are talking about. ;D
Well, thru 3 district games, statistically, Silsbee's defense is better. Silsbee rushing    100.7 passing    106.6 total        207.3 points        6.7 WOS rushing      142.3 passing    138.7 total        281 points        14
AAW, you know that is not a good measure because Silsbee has played HJ. WOS has not, obvously the weakest team in the district.
Good point. How about comparing the common opponent district games, BC and Orangefield? Against Silsbee                         rushing            passing          total          points Orangefield          85                    77              162              7 (fumble return, not offensive TD) BC                    133                    57              190              6 Against WOS Orangefield          211                  0                211            14 BC                    147                  212              359            16
6 of the 14 points OF scored against WO-S came on an inteception return.

 13.
If WB wins agains LP, they are in.
That is correct.
If they lose and NS beats CV or NS loses by less than 9, I believe WB is in.
If they lose and CV loses, WB is in.  If they lose and CV wins (assuming NS beats Sterling on Saturday), WB is out regardless of the margin of CV's victory.  As I see it, this is the ONLY scenario that puts WB out of the playoffs at this point.
If WB beats LP, and CV beats NS, I don't think NS  makes the playoffs.  Weird year.
Strangely enough, this is also correct and means that Port Arthur Memorial and Katy are NOT on a collision course if it occurs.

 16.
WB is in, if both CV and WB loose next week right?
Yes
 17.
Y not
Right now, WB is 2-2, NS 1-2, and CV 1-3.  If NS wins Saturday, that puts it NS 2-2, WB 2-2 and CV 1-3. If WB loses and CV beats NS. Then it will go to a tiebreaker.  Head to Head won't solve anything as the teams would all be 1-1 against each other, it goes to point spreads.  With 1 game to play, the point spreads amongst these 3 teams are NS +14, CV -3, WB -11. So if CV wins and WB loses next week, CV and NS get the final 2 spots. The only way West Brook is guaranteed a playoff spot is if North Shore loses to Baytown Sterling Saturday night.
 18.
the cw did not air any football game tonight! when will it be aired?
We do not know.  With the technical difficulties involved, KFDM made the decision not to air it tonight and we do not know when or if they will air the game.
 19. Sorry, David. No cigar, this win does not clinch a playoff spot for West Brook.
 20.
I might be totally wrong about this, but doesn't this loss for Buna eliminate them? If Woodville beats Buna, Woodville is IN. Even if Buna were to upset Woodville, then would Anahuac go in 3rd due to head to head win vs. Buna? Can someone clarify the 3rd place?
The short answer is it depends on what happens tomorrow night.  If Anahuac loses to Newton and Woodville were to lose to Kountze all 3 would be tied with a 3-3 district mark.  Buna would then be able to get in if they defeated Woodville and Anahuac lost.  That would put Buna at 4-3 and Woodville and Anahuac at 3-4. If Anahuac loses and Woodville wins, that would put Woodville all alone in 3rd at 4-2 and Buna and Anahuac at 3-3.  A Buna win the following week with an Anahuac loss would put Buna in as they would have a 4-3 record along with Woodville and Anahuac back at 3-4 with Buna getting in with the tiebreaker over Woodville. If both Anahuac and Woodville win, that would put Anahuac and Woodville at 4-2 with Buna at 3-3.  Buna would be eliminated because even with a win and an Anahuac loss, they would not be able to make up enought points to pass both Woodville and Anahuac in the point spread tiebreaker. As it currently stands on the point spread tiebreaker, Woodville is +15, Anahuac is +3 and Buna is -18.  The best Buna could do on the point spread is 0 which would leave them 3 points behind Anahuac for the final spot.
 21. The only way that West Brook can clinch a playoff spot this weekend is with a North Shore loss to Baytown Sterling.
 22.
Will the game be shown on tv at a later date or nothing?
Because of the difficulties, the game will not air tonight.  As to whether it will air at a later date, I don't know.
 23. Game has gone final, EC wins 47-6!
 24.

This game does NOT put West Brook in the playoffs.
it should. Even if we lose next week to LP, we're 2-3....unless NS loses to Channelview, then we've got a 3way tie for 3rd. I doubt NS loses, so they end up 3-2, and us 2-3. That should get us in, Todd. Channelview would potentially be 1-4, and out of the postseason hunt.
82, I agree that they will probably go.  But they have not clinched.
