Channelview is pretty good this year.  They may upset the apple cart of a lot of teams in 21-5A.

Just a little fact, the 246 total yards that West Brook amassed on Saturday night was more than the Katy defense had given up in it's first 2 games combined.  Stump did a great job of taking underneath stuff but increasingly Katy took even that away.  Everybody will talk about the Katy offense, but the difference this year will be the Katy defense...it looks to be one of the better ones that it has had in a while.

I know there had been some questions about the status of the High Island program this season and even some talk that Coach Jones may shut the team down for the season. Well, I just got word from Coach Jones that the Cardinals will return to action on Friday night as they host Galveston O'Connell in High Island! I for one am glad to hear that the guys have recovered to the point where they can retake the field and wish them good luck on Friday night!
