1. Criminal activity, you know of what level the State of Texas considers this type of tampering with a government document?  A class C misdemeanor!  Texas Penal Code, Section 37.10 (c)(3).  That's right, you are calling on John Kimbrough office to conduct a clandestine investigation of a program where the penalty will be that same as if you or I were caught speeding.  Should this be evaluated by the district? Of course it should!  Because that should have been caught in the past and there was carelessness by someone in not coming upon that much earlier than days before an ineligible player would have been let on the field.  But for you to take this incident and infer intentional wrongdoing by the district is completely baseless. If you have no beef against WO-S, why are you so intent that some sort of investigation take place?  Do you call the police department every time some flies by you when they are obviously exceeding the speed limit?  For someone who has no beef against WO-S, me thinks you dost protest a little too loudly!

 4. I remember that game as well.  I thought Long was out of his mind for scheduling that game.

Do we really need the smoking gun at this point??  My respect for Coach T has grown 110% in the past few days.  My hats off to him for cleaning things up.  Its not going to do any good to point fingers at this point.  The bottom line is the that the guilty party is no longer part of the program.  Whether it be the student, the parents, or the previous administration (which alot of you are alluding too but scared to just come out and say it) it doesnt matter because none of them are associated with the program anymore.  Again, hats off to ya Coach T, the kids and that program are lucky to have you on board now and you are without a doubt the right man for that job.  kudos!!
If the current Coach is truly the one who innocently brought this out in the open, then I applaud him; however, pointing fingers is EXACTLY what needs to happen.  If someone at WOS schools is involved (old, new or current), then it should be investigated.  School records were changed for crying out loud.  The pile is too big to sweep under the rug...YES, we need the smoking gun (and whomever pulled the trigger).
Smoking gun for what?  The player involved in this has been declared ineligible and will never participate in any high school competition ever again.  The player in question was eligible for every other high school year which he participated so no player was wrongfully on the field as a result of this. Sounds like some wants to stomp around to try and transform all of those years of sour grapes.
I thought Woodard was an idiot then he named Bevil the starter for a second time and removed all doubt.  I now have 6 tickets available to give away...all I need is my parking passes so I can still hang out and have fun and not have to go watch all the turnovers.  What is it they say about doing the same thing over and over and expecting to get a different result?  Prewitt beat him out last year, how do you lose your starting job over the off season to a guy you already beat out??!!!!!!!!!!!!!  THIS IS A DAMN JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!
This type of mentality from  Cardinal "fans" shut the Cardinal football program down about 20 years ago.
I am not a Bevil but Coach W is the HC and have to respect his decision. Easy to sit here spout your gap but harder to stick by your team. After seeing eight hundred backers at the gig last Sunday Coach W has much more support than you yentzels that run your mouth here. GO CARDS
Guess folks didn't want LU football back as bad as they said they did.

 9. Woodard has just named Bevil the starting quarterback for Saturday according to Enterprise and Channel 6 tweets.
 10. Well, right now, they have no idea how intense it will be or where it is going.  Here are the current computer models: [img][Hidden Content]]
I agree, don't put him out there against PAM. Start him next week.
Same here.  If Saturday showed anything, it is that Ozen desperately needs Trey Green if they have any chance of making the playoffs.  Let him get the rust off against Sam Houston.
 12.
I don't know the scores but I did watch the games? matches? Not sure what they call it in volleyball, but Ozen varsity did win last night.
I think you are right (mark that one down ;)) that the proper word is match, but nobody has raked me over the coals for calling it game....yet. Thanks for the update.
 13.
So, if you beat someone on this poll ahead of you, are you naturally going to jump teams in front of you even if they don't lose?  Not being a PNG homer, just curious.
Fair question.  Unfortunately to answer it would take 10 different posts as we do not place a set criteria that the pollsters must use in making their rankings.  Thus, it is left up to each pollster on how much weight he gives a win (or loss for that matter) in deciding if or where a team should wind up in his rankings. Speaking as one of the pollsters, yeah I do look at the losing opponent when giving weight to a win and how far, if at all, I will advance a team in my rankings.  For example, I included Vidor in my top 15 this week because of the quality of opponent (Texas High) that they defeated last week.  As for the example that I think that you are speaking of, no, the Nederland win over West Orange-Stark did not vault Nederland ahead on PN-G in my rankings as in the preseason poll I had Nederland ranked #6, WO-S ranked #7 and PN-G ranked #8.  As none of my top five from the preseason rankings lost my 1-6 stayed the same meaning that Nederland was still at #6.  The team that benefited from Nederland's win, in my rankings anyway, was PN-G who I moved up to the #7 spot by virtue of WO-S losing.
 14. I think it is appropriate as if it does become a tropical storm and does threaten the area....it may mean the difference between games being muddy and games being postponed/cancelled.
 15. I understand that he suffered some sort of knee injury earlier in the week?
 16.
With all do respect to a very good PAM team that should win that district and compete well in the playoffs, Dayton should be the top team in this poll especially if they beat what looks to be a pretty good Angleton team this week. 1a and 1b I could live with. Livingston will be good, but really who have they beaten going back to last season for them to rank above WB, Dayton and Coldspring, who all have prooven themselves week in and week out over the past couple of seasons.
I understand what you are saying, so don't take what I am about to say the wrong way.  But this is a poll ranking the teams on projected performance this year....it is not a lifetime achievement poll.
 17. Bridge City took this one 3-1
