This one is for second place in 22-3A at 7:00 p.m. in New Caney. The winner of this game will face Hamshire-Fannett in 3A Bi-District play next week.  The loser will face Silsbee. Both Coldspring (16-11 on the season) and the Splendora (17-7 on the season) won their district finales to end the regular district schedule with identical 8-4 marks.  The Trojans and Wildcats split their regular season series with Splendora winning in Coldspring on March 22nd, 3-2, and Coldspring winning the rematch in Splendora on April 15th, 6-2.

This one is for the final playoff spot in 20-4A at 2:00 p.m. at Jasper High School.  This winner will face Goose Creek Memorial next week in Bi-District play, the loser stays home. Vidor (16-9 on the season) forced this playoff by defeating the Lions (15-12 on the season) last night, 3-2, giving the teams identical 8-6 district marks.  The Pirates also defeated Livingston on April 5 by a score of 7-3.

Is he peddling his name everywhere?  What is the buzz? [/quote] Actually, this is the 2nd year that Coach Foreman has been active in applying for head coaching jobs.  He did some applying last year. It is nothing really sinister.  It is plainly this...Coach Foreman is ready to be a head coach and his credentials to become head coach are to the point where one school district made him a finalist for its HC/AD position.  Would he like for that position to have been at WO-S, I'm pretty sure he would have.  However, the hiring at WO-S which was confirmed this week means that head coaching opportunity there will not be open for another 5 years, maybe longer.  As he realizes that and still desires to be a head coach, he knows that, for the near future, anyway, he will have to seek that head coaching position elsewhere. 

That's tough, he is certainly in our prayers.

As PN-G did win and LC-M did lose, creating a tie for 2nd, what will the tiebreaker be?

Vidor and Livingston have a playoff at 2:00 tomorrow in Jasper for the final spot.

First pitch for that playoff will be 7:00 p.m.

I guess it is because he was a finalist for the WOS job which I am sure he wanted.[/b] [/quote] Probably more of a fact that Coach Foreman realized that Ball would not hire a 3A assistant for a 4A HC/AD job.  Coach Price doesn't have such an obstacle as he headed a 4A program for 4 years before coming to HF. I am quite sure that Coach Price was looking for an increase in pay, in addition to the fact that he may be finding the situation in H-F is pretty similar to what he left in Barbers Hill.
