12. I would ask this of you, VNUPE. If not Thompson, then who would you like to so on the sidelines for the Mustangs?
 13.
Wow........I thought I was talking to people who knew football......You guys have one track minds. Never the less.....I digress. Im pulling for WOS too. Because its all about our kids.
You are and you are talking to folks who recognize the limitations of high school football, limitations that for some reason you refuse to accept. I always pull for WO-S....always have, always will.
 14.
OF at WOS now at 6:15 per KOGT
Since they are doing the game, I guess they would know.
 15.
Clearly the defensive scheme that West-Orange has run for years has relied on smaller, quicker defenders. Usually, no one can run on the edges on them for that reason. My point was simply that with bigger linemen and running backs, better teams are starting to exploit the size weakness and are over-powering our smaller defenders. Now, you still think I'm losing credibilty, or can you see that?
The coaches have run a scheme that best fits the players that have been on the team.  That the WO-S team has had a size issue is something that the coaches there could not legally control.  This isn't the NFL where you can bring free agents in.  If you haven't seen that, then yes, you still lack credibility.
 16.
Well, credibilty IS an issue on this post. I'm looking at both sides of this issue. I think most of you are taking a biased approach which keeps you one sided. And again.......Its all opinion.
Well, now you have me interested, how has the current staff decided for "smaller players by choice."

 19.
Trust me gentlemen. West-Orange has smaller players by choice. Have you guys been to the High school lately????
Smaller players by choice?  Now you are starting to lose credibility.
 20.
Wow......great question! Before I answer that, let me be clear.......I AM NOT A COACH! I would start with  new defensive personnel.  Offensive Linemen and running backs are much bigger than they use to be (Brookshire Royal for example). Quarterbacks are more skilled and versitile. That's just my opinion, which, like all opinions on this post, mean nothing.
I'm not sure of the change that you mean by new defensive personnel.  Yes, it is true that in many areas offensive linemen and skill players are bigger than they used to be.  Unfortunately, that trend of growth has not extended to the youth of Orange, West Orange and Pinehurst.  WO-S for the last several years has usually been the smaller team on the field, both amongst numbers on the field as well the measurements of those on the field.   What the current staff has been able to do is through strength training being able to keep up with larger teams.  Others that were brought in to replace Thompson in that capacity when he was at Palestine and Huntsville were unable to maintain those standards (yes, I am talking about Joe Foster) and the difference on defense was noticeable.  Many (including I) fear that will be the case if those from the outside are brought in this time around. THAT is why I don't believe that change from the outside should be made.  But like you, mine is but an opinion.  The only one that counts, at this point, is James Colbert.  I'll certainly support whoever is named coach because I am certainly not going to wish bad luck upon my alma mater simply because my choice for coach did not coincide with Mr Colbert's choice.  But I can assure that there is a large number that will feel a certain disconnect if Cornel Thompson is not that choice and some of those folks are among the voting public of the WOCCISD.
 21. If the weather over here in Katy is any indication, I don't think the weather over there will be that bad.  The cloud cover has actually decreased over the last couple of hours.
