[/quote] You can, but given the reason for the closure, I doubt they would.  The only factor that keeps it an unknown is that the precipitation is supposed to abate tomorrow afternoon which would make tomorrow evening (possibly) clear to resume a regular schedule.

Woodville vs. Woden has been postponed to 3:00 p.m. Saturday Port Arthur Memorial at Channelview has been postponed to 1:00 p.m. Saturday

Anahuac, Bridge City, Buna, Burkeville, Deweyville, Evadale, Hamshire-Fannett, Hardin-Jefferson, High Island, Kountze, Little Cypress-Mauriceville, Lumberton, Nederland, Newton, Orangefield, Port Arthur, Port Neches-Groves, Sabine Pass, Silsbee, West Hardin and West Orange-Cove ISDs have all closed school for Friday. Also Galena Park ISD has closed school for tomorrow and their message seems to indicate that it includes all school related activities. Port Arthur Memorial has postponed both the Boys and Girls basketball games against Channelview to Saturday at 1 p.m.  Boys in Channelview, girls in Port Arthur.

This is great news not only on what it means to the Tigers, but that it also signals that a real good guy is well on the road to recovery. Continued best wishes on your recovery and welcome back!

[/quote] I agree bullets.  Twitter is full of school early releases today and a lot of school districts are expecting to make decisions on whether or not they will close tomorrow in the next hour and a half.  Newton has reported already made the decision to close school tomorrow. If they are closing school, it is doubtful they will play the games.

The Kelly boy's area playoff match against Addison Trinity Christian, which was scheduled for Saturday afternoon, has been postponed to Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.

The Beaumont Enterprise is quoting Lamar Head Football Coach Ray Woodard who says that the Mustangs and the Bulldogs will play their 2011 season opener at Provost Umphrey.

Ashley Wright of West Brook has signed with UT-Arlington.  She runs the 400 and 800 meters.
