[/quote] Actually, I kinda agree.  I have never seen such cloak and dagger process with regard to the hiring of a high school football coach.  But in the end, Jasper looks to have gotten a good man for the job and one who will guide the Bulldogs back to respectability....that is if things don't change in the next day or so.

[/quote] Well, that is the case with a lot of All-Star games that are played during the summer as those players who have committed to playing college football, especially those who have signed with FBS schools are either already enrolled at their new school already or are strongly discouraged by their future coaches in participating in such games.

Joey came back on, he is at work so couldn't answer me right away.  He really cited that, although he loved to do the broadcasting, it was really taking a toll on his relationship with his kid since a lot of those broadcasts on Friday and that was interfering with time with his son.  He did also mention previously that he has taken on some more responsibility at work recently which will decrease his ability to get away.

Had Joey on facebook chat and was doing some chit chat...then I hit him with the question of whether he deleted his account, which has been met with silence.

The advent of the Southeast Texas Coaches Association All-Star Game, which was played on the same date as the Bayou Bowl, makes it unlikely that any players from SETX will be playing in the annual Texas-Louisiana All Star Game anytime soon.

The one thing that I would see that you would also need to do is get a LOT of instructors as the type of camp you look to be running would seem to be pretty labor intensive.

The Hemphill ISD is waiting for Jasper to announce their coaching choice before Hemphill does their final round of interviews....:D

If it is the 20-4A Basketball Standings that you are talking about (and it must be that because those are the only "4A rankings" that I see on their sports page) Vidor, as well as all of the 20-4A teams are listed.  He has the standings in 2 columns...Vidor is in the second column. But Cardinal Supporter is correct, KOGT does not cover Vidor sports mainly because a good part of the time Vidor is outside of KOGT's radio broadcast range.
