[/quote] Not yet, officially.  There is still (and I mean only one) scenario in which Burkeville does not make the playoffs.  That is Sabine Pass loses to High Island this week but beats Burkeville next week.   If High Island would lose to Evadale with the above scenario, that would create a three way tie between the Mustangs, the Cardinals and the Sharks with all three having the identical 1-1 head to head and if the points are equal, then it could go down to a coin flip. If High Island would beat Evadale, with the above scenario, Evadale and High Island would have 2-1 and Sabine Pass and Burkeville would be tied with Sabine Pass holding the tiebreaker. Yes, these scenarios are unlikely and I fully expect Burkeville to be the #2 seed out of 14-1A (DII), but we are talking about whether they officially have it, which is not yet.

Actually, Legacy clinched a spot last week.  3 teams, not 2, advance to the playoffs per TAPPS brackets: [Hidden Content] As you can see, their opponent will be the 3rd place team out of District IV-3, which right now is Bryan Brazos Christian.  But the top teams have some games left which change that position.

The stats are now caught up through October 23rd. With everybody who has coached in high school over the years in the State of Texas, if you are in the Top 200, you are pretty dang good.  Plus, this win puts him in company with a guy who is pretty well looked upon in these parts. Congrats, Coach Stewart.

And we'll have to respectfully disagree at this point on the result of a Coldspring/WO-S game but I can tell you that Coldspring is better than Huffman and that will be proven THIS WEEK.

[/quote] Nobody did, if you look at where this started, it was a BC poster CLAIMING that they get no respect.  They run their pie holes about the lack of class and take their obligatory shots at Coach Hooks, which by the way if Mustang fans would have made such posts about opposing coaches, I'd be deluged with pms by you to take their posts down and ban them on sight but I have NEVER received such a request from Mustang fans.  Then when we rise in response, we are called classless, obnoxious, and, this was a new one, hoity, toity.  I know that y'all are mad because the dreams of upset dancing in your heads were dashed by a defense the likes you have seen maybe only one other time this year, but y'all better get the thoughts geared for the future because I hear that some folks from Orangefield are looking for a playoff spot.

I told a buddy of mine from Huffman yesterday that I see a 7 point Coldspring victory.  I don't think it will be real high scoring, both teams in the 20's, because both teams have pretty good defenses.
