We just wanted to let y'all know about a rules change that we have just implemented regarding the posting of articles or other items originating from other sites.  Laws regarding articles reprinted on the internet is still being sorted out, but it appears that in most cases, copying and pasting the text of an article originating from another website is violation of that site's copyright laws.  Therefore, we have amended the Rule 10 of the forum rules to state the following: "10) To ensure that copyright laws are observed, post only the link to any articles, photos or other material originating from other websites.  DO NOT paste the entire text of an article or photo here as such may violate the originating site's rights.  In limited cases, PORTIONS of the text of a article may be allowed, but should be avoided if possible." [/quote] I don't know that you can compare Thomas Center to Ford Park.  After the initial construction costs are accounted for, BISD will save money by having to do repairs and upkeep for only one stadium as opposed to two, plus not having to pay Lamar U. rent for Old Cardinal Stadium to house Ozen.  Plus, come playoff time, the stadium increases the probability of BISD schools hosting their playoff games at Thomas Center (I think I recall Coach Stump stating so in the past) rather than having to travel to Baytown or Houston.  This will cut down on travel expenses for BISD.   Will it host many playoff games not involving BISD teams, doubtful.  But the reason is the same reason that I don't think you'll see an increase of playoff games at Provost-Umphrey, geography.
