DeSoto scores but misses the PAT...it is now 15-6 Lake Travis.

LT scores again and now leads 15-0.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming, Lake Travis leads 8-0 in the 1st.

Final in the DI Consolation Final, Lufkin 50, The Woodlands 39.  Championship game in about 8 minutes.

Lufkin responds, but misses the PAT to make it 50-33. And as I am typing this, Woodlands scores, but misses the PAT, to make it 50-39.

Woodlands score again. Lufkin leads 44-33

Woodlands score, it is now 44-26.

[/quote] Not really.  There was a private school out of Bellville that had scheduled several games but had to drop them because they didn't have enough to field a team.  They did that about the time that Coach Holton first met with Dr. Kent and it was decided that Chester would be doing 6 man.  So Chester was able to slide into some of those games.  Plus, there are a lot of Houston area private schools that play 6 man that had openings.  I haven't seen the schedule yet (I am waiting, Coach Holton!), but I have heard that the schedule may have at least seven, and maybe more, games on the schedule.

Congrats to the Bruins for advancing and to the Bears on a good tournament.  West Brook will be facing Lake Travis at around 1:00 p.m. in the quarterfinals.

West Brook defeated West Plano 35-28 and play Plano in the next round. The winner of this game faces the winner of the LC-M/Lake Travis game. The LC-M/Lake Travis game and the West Brook/Plano game will begin around 11:00 o'clock.

Lumberton is my dark horse team this year.  I didn't have them making the playoffs, but I won't be surprised if they are there.

The Round One games begin tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.

LCM will face Klein in the 1st Round of the Championship Bracket.  The winner of that game will face the winner of Saginaw Boswell and Lake Travis. West Brook will face Plano West.  The winner of that game will take on the winner of Belton and Plano. If both LCM and West Brook win their first two bracket games, they will face each other in the quarterfinals.

Oh, the Yankees are not gonna like this!

Brownwood won the DII Championship over Cameron Yoe 34-32. Graham beat Burnet 36-29 in the DII Consolation Finals.
