You bet, the biggest way for this game to be a success is to have The Reservation packed.  The netcast is for us folks, who are out of town and will not be able to make it to the game or see the broadcast on KBTV Fox 4. If I were still in the area, I would be there!

To the Rebels players, coaches and fans....remember that of the several schools that started 1A play this spring, only 2 teams were playing for the state championship and yours was one of them. You represented your families, your school and your community very well, men.  Congratulations on an outstanding season!!!!

Apparently pretty good, they beat Stamford 15-2 in 5 innings.

Not yet, first pitch is 3:30, we'll probably start then. The winner of the game will face Windthorst, a 15-2 winner over Stamford in the 1st 1A semi.

One thing that irks me a bit is the constant references to Dionte's grammar and spelling.  On this message board, I do not know of one person that has followed every rule of grammar and spelled every word in their posts.  I certainly know that I have not.  So why in 3 consecutive texts (2 of which I have edited) do we feel the need to point out this kid's grammatical errors? Please do not try to call upon the grammar and spelling police too often....many of you will be embarrassed if that happens!

The teams have hit the field for warmups.  Estimated first pitch is now about 3:30 p.m..  Our broadcast will be starting the in next 5 minutes!!!!!

The first semifinal between Stamford and Windthorst is underway.  They are estimating that it will be a 4:00 p.m. start for the Evadale/Thorndale game.

Last night, our SETXsports.com Administrator and Broadcaster Mike Sanchez was admitted to a hospital in Beaumont with chest pains.  Even though it does not appear to be life threatening, he was kept overnight for observation and is supposed to be checked out by a cardiologist this morning. Please keep Mike, his wife and kids, in your prayers today. And we (and hopefully sometime today, he) will keep y'all posted on his condition.

I know that most who will be there are either in hotels, motels or on the road right now.  But I wanted to wish best of luck to both the Evadale Rebels (who play at 1:00) and the Jasper Bulldogs (who play at 7:00 p.m.) in their baseball state semifinal games today! Also, I would like to wish best of luck to our "auxilliary" members from Brenham as they wade into record territory with their appearance today. I DO EXPECT TO HAVE TO MAKE THIS SAME POST TOMORROW!!!
