Kirbyville's Tentative 2010 Non-District Schedule
WOSgrad replied to Lefty99's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Im so glad to see Coldspring in the mix..which is exactly what I suggested, along with WOS..not sure about BC though. How tough are they? The last few years they have not been that good. I would rather play a really good 3A team rather than a average team. I guess its better than Liberty or Hardin Jefferson though. lol no offense guys, we just need more of a challenge!!!
I wouldn't discount BC. They are a team that is definitely on the rise under Cris Stump. They'll provide the Wildcats with a good test. -

Glad to see that Coach Alvarez has chosen to keep playing WO-S rather than "shaking up" his schedule like some others. -

WOS vs LCM.......Will They Play?
WOSgrad replied to mustangfan2's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
You would think that during these economic times and dwindling budgets that Coach Crouch would look forward to scheduling a couple of teams within Orange County instead of "shaking up his schedule." Not only that but to avoid the test of one consistently good team and another that seems on the come makes me scratch my head. -
Isn't this game a rivalry game?
It probably would be considered that if they played more. But since WO-S dropped down to 3A, the two haven't played consistently. If the two don't play, that would be unfortunate. With the expected improvement of LC-M under Coach Crouch, this would have been a good test for both teams. Plus, this would have been a way to save on the travel budget for both schools. There is plenty of time before those schedules are set in stone so I hope that there is some change of heart. -
Carthage vs. LaGrange/Carthage wins and will face Graham.

Yes, that is right, there is a conspiracy afoot to oppress the good folks of Sour Lake and of course the force behind it is the EEEEVIL Chad Cooper! Pray with us brothers and sisters.....Dear LAWD, please within all of your power and might, strike down the EEEEVIL conspiracy here at the HoopInsider forum and please find your way into the heart of that EEEVIL Chad Cooper as well as those HEEEEATHENS from Kountze and Silsbee....those GODLESS HEEEEATHENS!!!!!! IF THEY DO NOT CONFORM, THEN STRIKE THEM DOWN WITH YOUR ALMIGHTY SWORD DEAR LAWD and so that your chosen children, the children of the SOUR LAKE will be prevail over all of its EEEEEEVIL enemies!
what are exactly the rules with eligibility of a player who changes schools? would love to see couple kids move in to kirbyville from maybe newton of jasper that could help in spots that they lacked very evidently yesterday and the couple spots they lose to graduation for next season as they march to state. again.
Under what you propose, a transfer would not be able to help the 'Cats as a student who transfers for athletic reasons must sit out one year after the date of transfer.
and when will the new districts be out? seems like it was toward the end of the spring when we used to find out
The new districts will be revealed on February 1st. Stay tuned to setxsports.com as they will broadcast live from Region V.

I can't recall a time in which any entity, be it internet, radio or TV, brought so much in the way of live high school sports to the fans. Thanks go to many for making the first Championship Saturday a resounding success!!! First and foremost, the broadcasters, Mike Sanchez, Joey Vincent, Jereme Hubbard and Adam Davis. These guys braved a combination of multiple games, long travel and, in one occurrence, a rabid crowd that made seeing the game, much less calling it, a safety hazard. Each and every one of you showed us here how talented you really are and brought us so much entertainment. Kudos to all of you guys on a job well done! Second of all, to all of the wonderful sponsors that help setxsports.com put all of this together. Most notably, our main sponsor, Hamburger Depot, but all of them, whether the multitude of sponsors who showed their support to the Kirbyville Wildcats or those who helped bring you the YMBL Tournament or even the HJ Marathon Tournament. Without your support of the youth in our community, this would not be possible and may God bless you for the deeds you have done. Also, to you our members and posters here at setxsports.com. We have such a knowledgeable base here that when we do something, we know we better "bring it." Thanks to you for your patronage and support and know that we are always striving for better ways to serve and entertain you. Also, to the kids and coaches who allowed us to come into, if for only a little while, their lives and join them in their journey growing into adulthood. Today, whether your day ended with you scoring more or less than your opponents, you young people and teachers are all winners in our eyes and know that the entire community is proud to have you represent us. And then finally, to our board owner Jordan Wilson. The hours and resources this man has devoted to keeping us entertained is mind boggling. I am proud to call this man not only a colleague, but a friend! Today was a tough act to follow, but know that we will be trying! ;D Thanks again, all!
