Why is it i am hiding.. I do not sit on this watching and praying someone includes me in their posting. And I have already said I do not agree with running the score up. However the Central girls did play in front of my team against a weak memorial team. They did and do stand around laughing about messing up. And have no interest in doing anything soccer oriented on the field. The team they knocked out to get the fourth place spot is obviously worst than they are. With that said.. I say ten is too many goals to score also. Unless you win 10 to 9. I say passing the ball around and dribbling into the goal and knocking it back out is also just as embarrassing. However with this team I do not believe they probably cared either way. Only all the folks that are not invovled. I would like to ask. What is a fair score to beat someone that is total cr@p by. If the number is 10 then is it okay to get that ten in the first half or should you ask your girls or guys to please only score one every eight minutes so you dont look like your running the score up. Or maybe just slam in ten the first half and play with six girls or seven on the field the second half and hope the other team doenst notice your playing short handed. It is in fact an argument that gets brought up on this site and on the south texas soccer portal every year when someone waste another team by a large amount. It has already been the subject on the other soccer site that is visited by someone and several folks off this message board. As for this lumberton girls squad.... their club group had a few Nederland ladies on the team and they should have played super two and would have probably qualified for lower ranks of div one. However their committment to .. other things they were involved with in their school never allowed them to be committed to a div one practice schedule and travel. However I can say they would have beaten lower level div one teams. Please let me know if I am suppose to be talking about something else.

Wow coach L pretty much said it rite... calling them stout and slowfooted is way way wrong thing to do. I worked with the majority of these girls for a club season and then some and enjoyed the group ... they were workers and loved to learn more and more and then put it into games. And i can assure you they were not anything but classy competitors.... good spill coach............ and from first hand exxperience they are great girls. and ffan should apologize for his comments.... but bet he doesnt.....

how is that dancing around.... I said exactly what I meant. the post before me said.. central ran up the score in football. I said soccer is not football mentallity. I defended your lady raiders saying that Central is horrible and stood around when I watched them play Memorial and that it would have been easy to run the score up. Then... I explained my FOOTBALL remark to Coach about how some teams tell their kids to go out and play football during a futbol game. As for CoachL being a football coach , so are just about any other coach in the district you are in and that Nederland is in. So tell me what part I was dancing around. If I had a problem with anything I am not one to not say what I see or feel.

why doesnt someone give us the rundown on this game... sounds like it was a good game...

read the post previous to mine about when central runs the football score up and its okay in football.... that is my response to the football..... my reason for not wanting football mentallity is ..... way too many players in soccer now are told to take em out... and players are allowed by coaches to run around with a free pass to injure someone else and have no consequenses for doing it.... i did not make that reference to any coaches in our area... however when you have players with a future in soccer , wouldnt you hate to see another team send a player out to take out pool or granato or any other player you have that is going to play at hte next level. .. notice when your team is playing a very good soccer team, chances are you sustain NO injuries but play at low caliber team with no skills , you win the game easily, get you some goals for stats but usually have to carry a player off due to.......... no skills.... nothing was pointed at anyone locally. i believe the png, nederville, and memorial as well as any other local soccer coaches do football also. and none of you have football mentallity when it comes to hammering another team or taking someone out.. thats why i would love to play any of those teams in our season... as well as yours... its all good locally except maybe one team :-X

I am completely against running a score up on a team... and passing the ball around is almost as embarrassing as scoring alot of goals.. in defense of the raider ladies. i watched central ladies play memorial and they were horrible and did nothing but stand around on the field and not try at all. I could see them doing what you said.. and that is putting no effort out what so ever....

y didnt nederland have their varsity there since it was a big game. i dont understand why the game was scheduled on a night hwen they were missing some important girls. whats the story

according the newspaper article you are not co champions........ the final paragraph of the article reads "Our district opted that if there are ties, we would play it out," Bates explained to The News. "The northern district (37-4A) does it different. If they have ties for first, they have co-champs, and we've done it that way in the past. But there will be one champion, and one second-place team in 38-4A." So congrats on their district championship.. Nederland and Png can play again in a couple of weeks. Just win ... gluck ladies

I am sure the ref didnt prevent nederland from scoring... and didnt allow png to score four goals.. I am saying.. png is or was obviously the better squad today and did what they had to do under the same conditions ... to win the game they needed..... good job indian ladies and good luck to the dogs and indians in the playoffs....

I saw this show. I think that Granato(spelling?) goal was great as was Gway. Both great goals. Game changing moment was Vidor keeper save in second overtime off a SP shot from about twelve yards out. The pk call was interesting but everything that ref does is without a doubt.. a complete puzzle ... how many times did he get hit by the ball . never in position enouph on that subject.. overtime goals... were exciting. good luck in playoffs

actually maybe just three . do not know for sure if their teams are in or out. but sure the club players will be getting ready...

Not that my opinion ever matters. And surely not because I care if Friendswood or Brenham wins the state championship. I do not see where it was wrong for the PNG faithful as well as the Nederland faithful to post about their hopes of a deep playoff run. Its what parents and fans do with their teams.. hope and boast. PNG can post a schedule and show it to FF and it will not change his view but give him reasons to pick and attack other squads. He is loyal to his lady stangs as we are to our teams. You can look and figure and worry and think and compare add in weather conditions.. injuries.. travel time verses rest .. diet... and what do you get......... NOTHING BENEFICIAL.... I have coached soccer for 30 years now. And the one thing I have learned is soccer is a CRAZY game. This past season I lost two games in Louisiana to the worst high school teams I have seen even though we dominated possession.. funny thing is I get nothing for possession but only for that darn ball rolling into the goal. But in the same breath, I have beaten quality teams and sent some big time schools to the edge. PnG and Friendswood and or Brenham and Nederland may meet one day. And on that day. Throw in all the variables, from wind, sickness diet, freak of nature, an own goal, or maybe just actually good play, no telling which team will end up on top. Not always the best team that advances. But if FF thinks he can look at a schedule and decide the future then we can save a bunch on travel expenses and just pencil in the brackets. Your schedule so far means nothing to where the lady stangs are heading. Losing to great teams is a plus, IF your team isnt getting dominated to the point they are not getting any touches on the ball. If they are getting touches on the ball and playing and knocking it around... then those games build quality teams.There I said my piece.... now time to be attacked and sad......

png fresh keeper has played keeper in club for a couple of years. Does a really good job. the soph more keeper.. bm hasnt played before but does a pretty good job.

And the coach for Friendswood soccer was giving excuses.... in reality just giving facts but FF calls those excuses. illnesses and injuries are no excuse for failure..... well with that said about FF and excuses.. good luck Coach Peters and the Friendswood girls soccer team.
