I am real excited about this contest on Friday. It will be my first as the new Managing Editor in Buna and I am looking forward to seeing the Cougars hit the field.

This one could have gotten way out of hand for the Bobcats in the first half, losing three of four fumbles.

[/quote] Clear Brook in the early to mid 90's and Channelview in the early to mid 00's is all I can find... Before that, I can't remember who was what classification. [/quote] Just to straighten that out Clear Brook played Dayton in their first two years of existence and were 24-4A. As for Channelview they were 4A until 2006 I believe.

Looking at this new district has been fun, especially seeing that there are a number of talented teams and some amazing coaches for the 2A level. I note something interesting though, Buna has Newton, Anahuac and East Chambers at home, could make things interesting.

Im thinking it might be few games into the season before I have an opinion on this one, lol!

Berry Center and Georgetown are excellent venues. I am excited to see how nice Tully will be after the remodeling job they are doing. Also Carthage has the 3A Palace and 2A Tatum would blow everyone's mind.
