  1. Not as a whole, No. Just a couple of derogatory comments and nothing to do with players at all. Kids in general are very supportive of each other and I know for fact that the other key players (two that come to mind) are very supportive. So no, I'm not speaking of the softball team...maybe one or two adults!?!?!?!
  2. Sounds like a little bit of envy here on this softball team.
  3. Well since BC is going to be without a key factor, I'm going to have to go with WOS on this one!
  4. I don't think anybody was bashing the catcher at all! The point they were trying to make IS that he is 14 years old and doing a good job considering his age and inexperience (at the varsity level). However, the question at hand is why isn't Warner catching instead, being that he is a Sr. with alot more experience at the Varsity level. Freshmen can certainly be outstanding and Matt Hicks has definitely proven that, but for the most part 14/15 year old kids who stand out in 14U select ball have an entirely different scenario at the Varsity level. It isn't anything at all against the little catcher, it was simply a question posed as to why we aren't using the more "experienced" catcher. I think OF put that exact question on the board last week when they blew up the 7th inning with a freshman catcher knowing there were three upperclassmen on the field that are all very good and have more experience.
  5. Yep, not to take anything away from the catcher or make excuses for the pitcher but it was more like mistakes that are going to be made from "inexperience". They are still kids.
  6. You are the wisest poster I've seen in the Baseball Forum in a long time!
  7. I think I read somewhere that Morgans second job is a Stand up Comedian! Good one!
  8. BC should have this one! But no guarantees after that outing against OF. Go Cards!
  9. Congratulations Pirates! Big win for you, keep up the good work.
  10. Any other given day I would agree with you, but after watching BC and OF the other night, there are no guarantees! Statistics go with Jasper, but who knows.
  11. I don't know of OF really looked that good or BC really looked pretty bad and helped OF look good. Both teams made horrible Little League errors. Before that particular game I would have picked OF over HF hands down, but I can't even begin to make a semi-intelligent prediction on this one now! I say a very close game with the winner coming out 1 or 2 runs on top.
  12. Bingo. OF missed every opportunity handed to them to capitalize and grasp a contention spot in district play. You guys regroup and take care of business. As far as shutting Dishon down! That's just funny right there. Tuesday was probably the worst game of his entire life so I would never bank on shutting him down!
  13. He's right. And as bad as anybody thinks the calling was, it was called he same for both teams. Basically the team with fewer mistakes wins the game in this situation.
  14. Is this game in Vidor or Nederland?
  15. You betcha. Two exceptional athletes, all hard work and no attitude except "win". They both stand out in their own unique ways.
  16. I'm really anxious to see how many he has by the end of the season. He's a great kid, on the field and off. In MY opinion, one of the best to come out of this area in a long time.
  17. Congratulations Ms. Little.
  18. That's the truth!
