    Former LCM standout Melanie Hamerly has been hired as the new girls basketball coach at Deweyville High School. After winning a National Championship at Baylor, Hamerly spent the last two years as an assistant coach at Waco High. "I'm real excited about this opportunity," she said. "I came back home thinking I was going to coach with in Mauriceville and this position opened up about the same time." Deweyville principal Jerry Gibson said, "We are real lucky to have someone with Mel's background at Deweyville." She replaces Kristi Henderson who left the program. Thanks KOGT.COM

    Played high school football,basketball and track at LCM back in 79,80 & 81. Man I am OLD!

    Glad to see coach Woodard is staying a little local on some of his assistants. Both will do a great job for the program. From everything I have read and heard it looks like Lamar and coach Woodard have a nice game plan for getting the program up and running.

    I do understand all that hawk. But I do not feel sorry for BISD. If they can afford to pay their superintendent $350,000.00/per year than they can afford lights, insurance and clean up. :D :D :D :D
