A great win for my Coldspring Trojans!!! I am sure what I team will have bc we lost 3 starters. We are in a tough distric with New Waverly, #17 Hempstead, Trinity, and perennial playoff contender Crockett.

Thanks @Brobie for giving Coldspring a compliment. The Trojan community appreciates that. Yes, our boys lost with the last 10 secs, our QB threw an interception in the endzone that would have pulled us within 1 point and allowed us to go for 2 point conversion to go for the win. We had a good season and far exceeded my expectations. I expected us to get blowed out.

Well let me just responded to this @eagleswoodville#1!! First, Woodville is the district champions. Happy for you all. Second, lets be realistic, the final score was 31-19 and the game was played in Woodville. Please and thank you, correct me if I stand wrong on the final score. Thirdly @eagleswoodville#1, if you guys are that awesome why didn't you beat us by more if your team is so superior. I am not trying to step on your toes at all but Woodville is not a traditional powerhouse in football. How many state appearances do you all have? How many all state football players do you all have? How many straight district championship do you all? Woodville has had an outstanding season one for the record book !!! I am very happy for the kids and the community & as you should be proud. I have family and friends there. The truth is each week in the playoffs the competition gets stiffer and stiffer. The statistics are surely in favor of Cameron Yoe but there is have been instances where lady luck has shown up. I think you just dont need to be condescending regarding other school in the district. This blog is about the Woodville vs. Cameron Yoe game. Lastly, we had 6 straight district championships never forget in order to be the best you have to be the best. This is correct when went to state in 2010 we were led by QB Alfred Scott a sophomore. I will not make any excuses everything you said is true. The one thing which has changed in Coldspring is with the coach involvement with the students outside of sports. Coach Mark Byrd has initiated a stricter regime for the football players that make them accountable for the actions. A lot of the kids who are very talented quit the team because they did not want to adhere to the rules. I think it is awesome that he makes the student-athletes attend tutoring for any subjects they may be lacking. Also, he talks to the students parents if there is any problems regarding behavioral issues, and what the consequences will be. The guys are required to have their pants pulled up, shirt tuck in, and belt on. That is awesome he is instilling values in these young men that will extend beyond football and hopefully help them become productive members of society.

Hello everyone TrojanMojo has been under weather!! I have missed my forum fellow bloggers. If the roster shows 21 seniors @bradyb, it may have been players that return from academic suspensions or discplinary issues. The majority of the players who start for this team are not seniors they are sophomores and juniors. Most of the seniors are on the team have not played that much football or they are on the team to earn a letterman jacket or just to say they played football their senior year.

Good season Woodville Eagles, but the buck stops here. This Cameron Yoe team has been to 3 straight state championship games if I stand correctly. They are primed and hungry to make another long playoff run. Well-coached team with championship pedigree. It will not be a contest. Camron Yoe 44 Woodville 18

I agree somewhat but this team has a lot of underclassmen. I am not using that as a copy out at all. This team also has something that the other teams lacked: THEY NEVER GIVE UP. No matter the deficit these kids are fighters to the clock hits 00:00

Our district really did an awesome job. I am really happy for the Kirbyvulle Wildcats. They are gaining momentum at the right time. I just want to say to @kcat-fan, I am very happy for your wildcats. As a Coldspring Trojan, I must saw Kirbyville has always been a tough opponent for us, but you have always personified class, dignity, for one of the Elite 3A teams in this area. Way to go to My Coldspring Trojans!!! This has been an up and down year I am very happy that the kids got their playoff win. This team consists of a lot of underclassmen so for many of the student athletes this is the 1st time playing in a playoff game. Congrats to The LaMarque Cougars on a good season.

It sounds like there are a lot of good teams to watch in Southeast Texas for basketball. It should be an interesting season. Good luck to the Kountze Lions, East Chambers Bucs, and The Buna Cougars. Hope to catch some of the games.
