  1. What did I miss?
  2. I though he was an assistant with Fred Williams.
  3. I think he is coaching soccer at wos
  4. Money does talk. And Boutte, like the rest of us, listens.
  5. I know Boutte pretty good. He wouldn't take the LU job becasue of his style. He is a great disciplinarian. D1 players (alot of them) that LU can get have alot baggage. Boutte is not going to play that. It would be a difficult situation for him. It would be a good move for LU. He could get some of the local talent. Just not enough disciplined players avalilable in the nation for him to advance in the NCAA. What do ya'll think.
  6. "Andre Boutte, Todd Southerland, Travis Williams, Carol Sims, and Bob Kellum, their record speaks for itself. " I agree, but you left off one of the greats...McCarter..what's up with that?
  7. I forgot where I read this. Year's ago. I went by memory, but you get the point. The attachment -Fire.pub
  8. This is obviously an emotional subject, and understandably so. So many people of all color have been effected by racism. I feel quite certain blacks have been more effected than whites generally speaking. I am truly sorry that anyone has been hurt or damaged by racism. It is by far our biggest hindrance to progress as a human race. The only thing we can do as individuals is try to understand, as hard as that is, try to forgive, try to be more open to differences, and love our fellow man as the good book says. If we can focus on the good things that happen between the races, I think we can all grow. I saw a picture once of a small white boy and a small black boy holding hands walking down the street. They didn't know they were black and white. They were friends, laughing and loving life. That picture touched my heart. And it reminded me of a valuable lesson. Racism is learned. It is passed down generation to generation. If we, as black and white adults, fail to find a way to celebrate our diversity, then how in the heck do we ever expect our kids to. I have seen story's of white folks coming together and building homes for underprivileged black folks. I have seen black folks taking in underprivileged white folks and providing love and support. It can be done. It has been done. Just to few and far between. I have known DV for a longtime. He is good person, angered by life's experiences. Some deserved, many not. Perhaps people like myself, DV and others can step up and take a lead and begin a healing process with our young people. What an awesome and admirable challenge. I apologize for the sermon, but I needed that more than you. To the human race, red, yellow, black and white, we are precious in his sight, Jesus loves the little children of the world. Let's do it for them. Allright..I am done. DV....I know what you been thru. Keep on plugging. You got what it takes.
  9. There was NOTHING ignorant about my statement, maybe your DB should look into something else and focus on graduation...How about that? There are things that are more important than playing football...Besides, he already will have a running start heading into the work force as it is, so just be glad about that...Good luck to you both. That is a quote from DV. That is the most racist comment I have heard on this board. " a running head start into the work force. " WOW! Number 1 - I have been told on more than one occasion on a job interview " I would like to hire you, but I have to hire a black." So much for the running head start. Number 2 - It appears that rules on racism only apply when they benefit that person. You can't have it both ways. I agree with the DB analogy (speed - get the job) but not (race - get the job) The most qualified candidate, whatever race, should get the job. Number 3 - There will always be racism-so what-get over it. There are plenty of people of all races that are not raicsts. Just be one of them. Number 4 - Quit making excuses. There are plenty of educated succesful black and white people benefiting from the American system. It simple -get an education, follow the laws, demonstrate character and discipline, AND NOBODY CAN KEEP YOU DOWN. WHITE OR BLACK. Number 5- DV referred to Katy as one of those school. I am proud to say that in Katy ISD, white america, educated floks with vision and direction-guess what - we have an awesome superintendent. He has class, he is educated, demonstrates character, and oh yea...he is black and WE hired him and stand behind him because he is good. Number 6 - Its about the human RACE BABYYYYY!! (SP) Quit whining and crying and making excuses and get yours like thousands of others have already done.
  10. This is the third consecutive year a 21-3A team has played in Austin. 2006 WOS 207HJ 2008 HJ/Sils IF Silsbee goes, it the third consecutive year a different 21-3A team represented in Austin. What a district.
  11. We have Strake Jesuit Tuesday. We found a way to sneak in.
  12. Hawk77 got ya'll good. No such report. He is a liar. Good job tho of stirring.I like that. (Is that a word?)
  13. That's where our game is going.
  14. I agree with everything said, but question the "ice injury". I would like to hear a medical professional speak to that. He probably did end a great run on an injury, but an ice pack injury. I am wondering about that one.
  15. I think you have seen worse. (6 am -on Sat. morning) Not pretty If this is one of the famous WKM gang.
  16. The White man. No..No..No..just kidding. I know I didn't just say that. It's great question. I would have to say the coach is ultimately responsible. Or if you want to get deep..society is the culprit.
  17. If Hooks was president, Cornel would be secretary of defense and the war would be over. Iraq would be a parking lot and soccer would be banned.
  18. Thanks WOS4. I always say MUSTANG FOR LIFE. WOS is a special place. Unless you went to school there, are worked there, you cannot understand the MUSTANG MAGIC. There is nothing like the flying W.
  19. Thanks DV and RR. Corbin is a stud. He is getting the crap beat out of him every night. Last night he was hit in the eye on a lay-up. Eye bleeding, made the lay-up. I call time out, trainer cleans him up. He goes back out and hits the FT. He plays the rest of the game with a mouse under his eye, a bandaid and leads us to victory. He is a special player. Bob Knight is going to love this guy.
  20. The boys are jelling. We are 3-0 in the 2nd round of district. We are 6-4 in district. One more victory assures us of a playoff spot. We have Morton Ranch(9-1) although we beat them by 31-their only district loss - #18 Hastings who beat us by 4 at their place in the first round-we have Cinco Ranch at home who we beat by 20 at their place and Elsik who beat us by 1 in double overtime. We beat Aleif Taylor last night . They beat us by 20 at thier place first round. We are .500 (13-13) for the first time this year. Morton Ranch 9-1 Hastings 9-1 Aleif Taylor 7-3 Katy-Taylor 6-4 Elski 3-7 Cinco Ranch 3-7 Mayde Creek 2-8 Katy 1-9 You cannot go by the Chronicle. They are terrible.
  21. Get your facts straight. Sutherland started his career in Harlem in 1966. He went 22-3 and won the city championship. From there, he went to south Detroit and won the Detroit International League. He then coached in Utah for several years and won the MAIA league. (Mormon Athletes in Action) So get your facts straight. He can coach anywhere. Few people know that he took a Pygmy tribe to the ATL championships. (African Tribal League) A coach is a coach.
  22. No need to get racial. (is that how you spell it) Just jiving DV. Both are great possible Hall of Famers.
  23. Thank you Poppabear and Gabe. I see HJ is right where they left off. Hate to hear about Trey. HJ Nation will survive. See ya in Austin.
