For Warren we will have a great returning Soph by the name of Brazos Morris..he was good this year but ran behind our star Marc Esway. With Marc out of the picture, Brazos should stand out in the weakened 2A district. Also, watch for the name Travis McBee...should rush for over 1200yds if he stays healthy..

Well sure there is an advantage in not having football...For one the budget might actually trickle down to basketball, because we all know with football goes the spoils! Also, in small schools such as this it keeps the team together as one, not spread out playing football as well. I dont see a single con when it comes to this scenario. Its not their fault they are without football so they should not be blamed but yes it is a huge advantage!

I am just seeing in your opinion who is the best all around athlete returning to this area next year? Who will give teams a fit trying to stop him? I want the school and his name...thanks for the replies...!!

Feel free to add other schools as well..BC, CENTRAL, WEST BROOK, etc..I want the last 10 years...dig deep for the top baseball players from yesterday!!!

I am pulling for jasper because I am a big fan of the asst coach there..hope he can turn Jasper into a contender in that tough district..but I think Silsbee has too much talent not to win.

You should really divide this into 2 categories..large school picks then small school picks. How can 1A and 2A schools compete with the 4/5A competition...Top 10 large, then top 10 small..

well tonights the night everyone...Tip-off around 7:30 pm in Hardin!! Winner most likely moves on. But if Warren loses, they will be forced to beat EC or Kountze at home next week or hope Hardin loses again.

sorry about the score mix-up..I meant that there was a 20pt swing over all..from being down by over 15 to winning by 8 or so..but we'll see, Hardin is tough at home and Warren is still really young as a whole...only time will tell!!

I am sure they have the depth to make it to the play-offs but if they have to play a 2-3 series early, they could struggle on games 2 and 3.

I will be pulling for my home team Warren but it should be a close, hard fought game!

Fuller from West Hardin for sure..I laughing stock a few years ago turned into a true contender!!!

The game will be at Hardin tomorrow night. 1st time they played Warren trailed by 15pts at halftime but came back to win by 20+.

Buna could run away with the district...but the race for 2nd, 3rd is wide open! Nething could happen on any day..should be fun to watch.

Buna does have the move-in lefty from Kirbyville, I know for a fact he is pretty good. Here in warren, no big stand outs but coming together nicely as a team!

Tons of gym, weight room practices! running and soft toss here in warren. Weather is limiting my pitching work-outs..trying to keep every arm healthy.

Warren vs West Hardin on Feb 6th cancelled due to basketball play-offs. Warren will be scrimmaging Hemphill at home Friday Feb 9th.

No way WH can compete with 2A powerhouses like Kountze/EC it might stay close early but at least 25 pts spread when the 4th quarter buzzer tolls. I am not taking nething away from WH, great year! Its just easy to jump on the underdog's band-wagon but as far as talent..NO WAY!
