To Eagleswoodville:  What a compliment to Bridge City to even be considered in this fine Tourney.....

I feel that Big Sandy should be ranked mid-way in 1A-- they have a real good team!

Bridge City has the most remarkable upgrade this season.  This was a hapless team for a number of years....New Coach, Gordon Fountain, has been teaching basics and the girls are starting to respond well! Becca Peveto is Coaching the JV girls and they too are coming around under good leadership.  They may be competitive by the end of this BB season. Congrats for all the hard work going on in Cardinal-land.

Enjoyed the "Abraham" attack on Bridge City--when you go to the Semi-finals with a very young team, you get those type of comments the next year. Just watch the season actuate and you will see BC there in the middle of the playoff runs as they usually are each season.  They have a seasoned team again this coming year...LOL

Thanks for the info!  Look forward to seeing them play our more local teams. I hope they are very good, our teams need to play some great competition, on occasion.

I see it ending with:  #1 BC #2 OF #3 tie  WOS & H-F,  with a playin game for third to represent 3rd in the playoffs.

Congrats to both BC and Woodville tonight.  BC won by 9 points tonight; the last game these two played on 11/30... BC won by 24 points. What I saw was two teams that have both improved a great deal as the basketball season has progressed. Congrats to Allison Angelle for a great game at taking the ball from the point guard a number of times... An outstanding performance.

Wayne MaHaffey at H-F is a great Coach.....He was a great AD at Rusk, TX for many years.  He get 100% out of what he has to work with.

What are your predictions against Bridge City this next game?  To our surprise BC handled Woodville really well last time we played on 11/30/1O

To Baseball Junkie:  You are right Huffman will have a good team this season.....They held in there for a while in brackets; but BCs big Freshman kid pitched one good surprise game to move BC on up the bracket ladder last season. Please tell me, who will pitch for Huffman? I thought they had graduated their #1 Pitcher last season?

BC & Evadale lead the poll--and they are good picks. Whoever said BC is young is not correct: they were young last year and went quite deep in bracket play. They are loaded with Pitching and with very good talent.  Evadale is ready to have another good season also. Don't overlook Orangefield, they have Evans on the mound ready for the better District games and he can win ballgames with his excellent pitching skills.

Woodville will again play Bridge City; this time in BC on Tuesday night  12/7/20.......BC took out PNG  54-20 tonight in BC. BC has a competitive team this season after some difficult basketball previous seasons.
