There was a man who entered a local newspaper's pun contest. He sent in ten different puns, in the hope that at least one of the puns would win. Unfortunately, no pun in ten did.

It seem obvious that the existing older select teams in the area are not interested in several people siphoning off their pick of the existing players in the area: that are great & love softball--that seems to be a-- given. I would suggest to the Orange Crush organization that they invite--Jessica LaMoine-- to form and Coach another 18&U team under the umbrella of the Orange Crush Organization. Jessica can get a team together whereby several that may want to Coach a new team may not have a large enough following presently, to form a team. Orange Crush is into developing players--and that is good--I would suggest to them that ON OCCASION they form a temporary FLEX TEAM to play in really good Tourneys, a few times a year. The rest of the time they would play with the teams they enjoy, playing with more of a true "sisterhood" atmosphere. It is easy, each OC team would render up say THREE players for the FLEX TEAM....I would further suggest that THREE excellent girls that play other HS sports be allowed to play short-term SB on these teams. Example: BC has Emily Kosh who lead a 12U Blast team to a USFA National Championship--MVP--and has an incredible batting average in HS ball could be one of the FLEX TEAM. Also, Allison Angelle who also plays Volleyball with Emily Kosh is certainly a candidate. There are certainly other multi-sport girls across the Triangle area that are great proven SB players that are also viable candidates--on a short term basis for these few "big Tourney games". I think the days of "hey, lets package this recruitment right and we can pick up all the better girls and start our own team".. maybe is not what the majority GT community SB is interested it. A FLEX TEAM is temporary; but it is the only way that both sides of this issue can at least get part of what they want. That team and all decisions would have to lay at the DISCRESSION of the Orange Crush organization--and no outsiders would be allowed to call the shots, as to how they (Orange Crush)--plan, organize, actuate and control the FLEX TEAM EFFORTS! I think we can get unity of all SB folks involved; to come out and see this FLEX TEAM play a few stout Tourneys occasionally. I think it would be great fun and exciting to see the Orange Crush "Platinum" team play! The ball is in your court Orange Crush Organization....

Outside the Bristol Zoo, in England , there is a parking lot for 150 cars and 8 coaches or buses. It was manned by a very pleasant attendant with a ticket machine charging cars £1 (about $1.40) and coaches £5 (about $7). I think the vast majority on here recognize this was a major act of ability; linked with joy; fun; and determination that put them over the top. After a little checking around--I found that Caleb will be moving back to play in Louisiana. It seems that he has a scholarship to play for University of Louisiana Lafayette and it was suggested he finish HS in LA. Congrats to Caleb Kellogg and best wishes on a good college career!

I saw Crawford play Edna, the winner of the East side of TX(that beat Bridge City 2-0). Crawford won and they have a solid team. WHAT IMPRESSED ME WAS THAT THERE WERE 800+ PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE THAT NIGHT IN WACO FOR THAT SB GAME! Crawford has some great players--Catcher Sydney Christensen is a future D-1 prospect. Great utility players include--Morgan Groppe, Ellen Whitney, Ann Marie Dunlap, and Amy Tomchesson, to name a few.

I can't wait to see BCs stout pitching in action! Caleb Kellogg has a phenomenal game for the Sundevils-- getting a one hit shutout against the supposed, #1 16u team in the nationwide. What can I say, Matt Hicks is just a hauss! Zoch will be a Junior what a lefty for a closer....steady as a rock. We will see Zach Smith, Cameron Dishon and others emerging as Sophs. Freshmen---Loaded I heard the 8th grade team will be ready a year from now-- to contribute. The Little League Juniors 12 year olds and solid 14 year olds went to Regionals etc: and along with the assorted Select team Pitchers; look to make the statement, "Tradition never graduates", a continuing reality.

An older fellow met an also somewhat older lady that had also lost her spouse a year or two before. They started going out and soon were talking of marriage. Well all of a sudden she shows up with a pre-nuptual long agreement. It started with #1 If we don't make it, I get to keep my Cadillac, my jewelry etc: & etc: Finally she came to the end of the long list that ended with, "I want to experience passion and romance at least five nights a week!
